Excellent fresh and tasty fish the batter was lovely and crispy too.

Award winning chippy never been disappointed, even lent us a tray if we wanted to eat in the car park. When my daughter comes over from Leeds it's always here she wants to come first. The car park has been a bit of a mess but it's about to be improved so it should make parking much easier

Pepper Lane Chippy has never failed to provide outstanding quality fish and chips - just the right size portions - lovely fresh fish - served by nice friendly staff. You get what you pay for and I personally travel a distance to get mine, passing two other chip shops on the way!

Was staying at Standish Premier Inn. Popped round to the chippy for steak pudding, chips and gravy. Fantastic! Right sized portion and cracking food. 5 stars!

·

Fish is brilliant and huge, chips are ok.

·

Great food but every visit has been ruined by very meagre portions of peas, curry or gravy. Other than. That would definitely recommend.

I now get what all the fuss is about....Locally Pepper Lane Chippy is a fried fish Icon, and being in the catering and hospitality trade myself and a true foody I absolutely agree that its status is well deserved. Having eaten like for like food from most of the competitors in the area Pepper Lane Chippy really is the best take away fish and chip supper and a real treat at great value for money. We have eaten the fried fish, chips, scampi, peas and gravy on many occasions and my opinion is the food, especially the fish, travels home well and is not only very fresh but packed with flavour and extremely clean and not greasy at all concidering its fried food .We visit the local equestrian center next door every Wednesday and on our way home, early evening, to Standish town centre we park up, que up and pick up our supper, the ques may be long but isn't that the sign of a great business plus the service is always speedy as the team are very efficient and polite.Looking forward to our next visit.

I was recommended this place and was told to try the fish. To be fair I was surprised at the small portion of fish chips and peas for £6.80. The flavour wasn't great and I'd be being kind if I was to call it average. I don't think I'll be bothering again as I've had better food from other local chippy's

Outstanding. Most delicious chippy I have ever been to. Staff was fast and friendly. Salt and vinegar was put on before the curry sauce just the way I like. Battered sausage was awesome. Tried some fish too and that was excellent. Will definitely be back here.
