"We are a small family-run restaurant based in Leigh. We opened our little Perola Do Mar in January 2015 and have come a long way since then. We currently have a maximum capacity of 23, but we believe the atmosphere our small restaurant creates is what makes us so popular among our customers. Many friendships have been made at Perola, and we pride ourselves on our tasty, freshly cooked food, and treating everyone that walks through our door equally. We are the Perola Family."

I lived in Portugal for 10 year me and my boyfriend have just been here for dinner for the first time and It was amazing it made me feel like I was actually in Portugal the staff were so so friendly and had some good chats the food was perfect definitely going again :)

Tasty and varied Portuguese food in a relaxed, simple placeFamily Run Portuguese (Madeira Island) restaurant. Staff look after you and make you feel very welcome. I honestly was pleased with the quality of the food, huge size of the portions and reasonable prices . I never had a espetada (Madeira style skewers) as good as this outside the island!They do not add rock/coarse sea salt to the skewers as madeiran do, but I honestly prefer less salty (Portuguese food is salty pretty much across the board. Definitely a problem if you're watching your sodium intake).We definitely gonna come back and recommend for friends. What a fantastic and lovely experience we had. Lovely Sangrias!!!I would recommend a booking in advance if you want to be guaranteed a table.

Was told about this place by a friend, good job because I would not have come across it otherwise due to the location. I am so glad they did because the food is fantastic. The staff were pleasant and helpful and happy to go through all the various items on the menu. I can't wait to go back and work my way through the menu, there is something to suit any taste, my wife won't eat as much of a variety of dishes as myself but was still spoilt for choice, you need to try.

Came here for the first time last month and this place is an absolute gem. The food was delicious and the staff are also some of the most welcoming and helpful I have ever met! Small and cosy inside. We will definitely be visiting more in the future!

We've been to Perola do Mar 3 times and it's been amazing each time. Staff are lovely and food is amazing. A hidden little gem and a must if you like authentic Portuguese

What an amazing experience. The food was delicious, the drinks were very typical and well done and the staff was super friendly (Specially Mr Norberto, the owner). Wasn't just a meal, it was a "tour" to Madeira and the Portuguese culture. I felt very happy and really recommend it

Exceptional authentic Portuguese meal. Our whole family really enjoyed this amazing meal. Our kids (8,4) loved the clams, squid and olives starters and their Spaghetti Bolognese was incredible!We shared a very generous Catapalana which we just amazing! A beautiful mix of fish, prawns, clams and vegetables. Wanted down with Super Bock, vinho verde and CaipirinhaThe staff are friendly and enthusiastic about their food. The made you feel very welcome but stuck to the current restrictions. The restaurant was very cleanCan't wait to return!!
