Sheer Khan Restaurant in Manchester in Wigan

Visited 19/03/2022, good size enclosed waiting area (heated) as you go through first set of doors, seen to very quickly and for a Friday night and restaurant being busy only took 5minutes to be taken through next set of doors into the main dining area and seated for a table of 4. The service was attentive and food came at a decent pace considering how busy the establishment was. I would say that the mix grill sizzler was pricey in comparison to other places and don’t get as much as you would portion was , perhaps for the same price and for value offering a version for 2 people similar to what you would find as meat platters elsewhere. The friends stated that their lamb and vegetarian saag paneer dish was good and that the naan and rice were tasty. The menu is limited but the food is tasty so worth a visit if your in the Rusholme area and fancy a venue for the nostalgia of one of the ongoing originals of the infamous curry mile. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Overall not happy. Naan bread wasn't good, didnt look appealing nor taste appraling, very dry / hard on places..this is usually my favourite part of my meal. Food was OK, but nothing special. Staff we very attentive. Will not be planning a return meal here unfortunately.

It’s improved since I last visited the taste of food is tastier and the service from the Bengali staff excellent, there is a car park behind the restaurant where it’s convenient to park and walking through the back entrance you have to pay for parking so it saves you time looking for parking it’s a busy area, only let down is they don’t give itemised receipt to say what you ordered and how much it cost.

We had an Impromtue meal here and was very happy with the cleanliness of the restraunt as well as the staff service and knowledge. Recommended.

Would give them a zero if I could. Absolutely no knowledge of customer service whatsoever. Waited over 1 hour just to place an order after telling 6 different people. Table next to us argued and walked out because of same reason. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Was served mouldy bread with my burger and no apologies just a rush to get the tray with the mouldy bread away from me and my money given back shame on you shere khan.

So good. Very busy. Best nan bread I've tasted for a long while. Fantastic staff. Food took a while to come out. Inexpensive definitely go back

Went for dinner on the evening of the 18th Sept. Can't honestly say the food was exceptional. It was just good. However, the wait after placing our order was easily in excess of 1 hour. I had to prompt the waiting staff several times after waiting patiently for over 45 minutes. It wasn't as if the restaurant was full and our order was fairly simple, so, we were very surprised by how long it took. Our first experience in the restaurant will not bring us back.

Amazing food, ambience and service. Go early if you want to have dinner. Preferably before 8pm as it tends to be really busy around then. Can't complain about the food. Their lamb briyani, madras curry and naan are grand!

We have been going to this restaurant for 32 years. The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. They will cater to your every need and taste. Nothing is too much trouble. Beautiful fresh ingredients. The food is delicious and never disappoints.
