Went for an afternoon meal with my girlfriend. Service was really fast without losing standards of food, which was spot on.Would highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again.

Wonderful service, very polite and friendly,If you're lucky to get served by CarolineIt's an evening guaranteed to be good! The chicken is well cooked with a very generous side of rice. Try the Malaysian Chicken (see picture)

Went for lunch with my daughter, whom I was visiting. I wasn't dressed to go inside so we sat outside and ordered from the bar menu. I chose the delicious sounding sesame soy chicken wings. As is on trend you get the full wing including the tip. I prefer mine to be fully plucked before serving. They came without any expected soy sauce. Although they had been deep fried they were dry and flavourless and unseasoned. I shared two with the dog and had to take them back and requested a refund. I expected something decent at £12.50 for the bits we used to throw away. 5-10 days for a refund. No pics as I'm not a millennial. On the plus side they have a great selection of beers and the place is very nice.

This is my favourite place to eat in the Wigan area. It’s pretty big with tables inside and outside (with some shelter and heaters for part of them) but I would recommend booking.Had the scallops to start, cooked perfectly, only wish there was more of them! Stuffed chicken as one main and sirloin steak as the other, both with dauphinois - both delicious and seasoned perfectly. Chocolate volcano didn’t erupt, but it was tasty, especially with the pistachio ice cream. Some nice choices available on the wine list, the valpo was delicious.Service and atmosphere all good. Looking forward to coming back and trying the other dishes.

Really nice place in Standish for lunch and/or dinner. Went to Albert's Standish on Saturday with a friend of mine from Wigan: he was told only good & positive things about this restaurant. Yet, it is not only a restaurant, but much more if you would like to organize conferences, parties and so on. I can judge on the food and, as you can see from the pictures (starter, main course & dessert), it was well presented, delicious and prices are reasonable! Last thing, but probably as important as the food: the service was excellent, impeccable actually., Everyone was very friendly, professional and we were well looked after. Great wine selection too, amazing place, definitely going back!

Very nicely laid out venue with indoor and outdoor seating area waiting staff were very attentive without being over the top.The general atmosphere was good and condusive to having a good chat between people in our group and they seam well setup for larger parties. Not a huge menu but there's a good selection that allows all with different tastes to chose something.Food came out in a timely basis, between us we had a variety of dinners all but one was OK, however the rib eye steak ordered appeared to be a tough piece of fillet steak and not a ribeye I can honestly say one of the worst I have had, the vegetables were ok but appeared to be pre cooked and microwave reheated. The puddings however made up for the main course nothing fancy but exactly what you would expect.Prices are reasonable for both the food and the drink.

Visited Alberts for a birthday meal on a busy Friday evening.Positives; food is relatively good value and prices reflect a menu that is simple whilst offering some rare original items that stand out. The rabbit gnocchi starter and the pulled beef shining through. Not so great; service, whilst trying, doesn’t hit the mark, like all Albert’s I’ve visited the waiting staff are mostly around the age of 17-21 years old and of the ones I’ve encountered their experience in delivering service which meets the venue’s position as a mid-high end restaurant always falls short. It’s mostly down to confidence; I want my server to appear confident and sadly they never do. The ambiance also is also strange, at 8pm a live DJ playing electronic music arrived and the decibels ratcheted up by about 50%. We were sat the furthest away and we had to shout across the table to be heard. I simply don’t get this as 80% of the diners were still sat eating and the bar area (which I can only imagine the DJ was put on for) wasn’t anywhere near busy.I’d go back yes, but not on a Friday night and with lower expectations than my last visit. A shame!

Booked this place last minute for me and my wife to go for a meal. What a brilliant choice from start to finish. The service was second to none, the food was amazing and was great value for money. That was the best pizza I have ever had in my life 😊 We will definitely be going back to Albert's 😎

Huge venue with ample parking.Excellent food and service. Young guy called Andretti I think? Really nice guy, very friendly and helpful. Not too expensive. Booking is a must.More places should have a dress code like this. Don’t turn up for dinner in Track suit pants and a baseball cap. They will rightly send you away. Dress to impress people, raise the standards!

Lovely restaurant to visit. Nice decor and ambience.Tables available both inside and outside. Our waiter Andrei was very attentive and polite. He provided an excellent service. The food matched the service and did not disappoint. Good quality delicious food nicely presented. Plenty of onsite parking as well. Highly recommended.
