Booked for Sunday dinner, was told there was a 45 minute wait for food. That was fine, an hour and 20 minutes later we were still waiting. Not only that a couple who came in without a booking 30 minutes after us then got served there food. We were furious and still no sign of the food. The staff behind the bar were great though as they understood and gave us a full refund.Had to go home then at 7.30pm to start cooking for our Sunday dinner, very disappointed and won't be going there again.

Went for the £14 for two steaks, great value we both enjoyed the meal. Seating outside with a great atmosphere inside. Staff very helpful and nearly forgot they also serve drinks.

Mixed feelings about this. I really wanted to like it here, it always looked lovely from the outside. We finally gave it a go before we moved out of the area, and it was a bit disappointing. They didn't have our booking, so were told to sit anywhere with no "reserved" signs. (Made online, so maybe a system bug? Shrugged it off). The menu was appealing. We went for the breaded mushrooms and calamari starters (pictured) which someone took pride in presenting, and were very tasty!Bit of a wait for anyone to come to clear those away - nobody checked how they were while we had them, either. Then the mains arrived (mixed grill, x2). These weren't worth pictures, the presentation was a bit hurried. The taste was very sub-par. The chicken tasted like it'd been pre-cooked, stored, then brought to temp in a microwave with a little water. The sausages tasted very cheap. The gammon was quite dry, and the steak - while I know rump is tough - was difficult to even cut with a steak knife, and was not quite cooked to medium rare as ordered - very much rare or even blue in parts. Two eggs on this - one over, and one under cooked. Again, no check back while we had the food, and nobody to collect plates and ask how it was, so we left.Wont be returning here, unfortunately!

Firstly I would like to complement the waitress that served our table. She was young and had dark long hair. She was very attentive to our every need and went above and beyond to please usSecondly I would like to praise the bar ladies and young man as they were rather busy but Sitka had a smile on their face.

The food was the worst! The mixed grill!!The steak was uneatable, the gammon was supper salty, the peas had a strange taste and the chips were cold/frozen.2nd time I've been there for food, I won't be going again.

My partner was unhappy with her Sunday Roast as all items were from the freezer. So quality wasn't great. My Burger was OK. Prices are reasonable.
