The Crown at Worthington Restaurant in Wigan

Had lunch here and it was superb. Lovely decor. Friendly and attentive staff. The food was gorgeous, the best carbonara I have had for a long time. Reasonably priced. Definitely be back. Thank-you The Crown.

Had a short walk to the Crown and was met with a nice welcome and secured a table for two without a wait.There are three eating areas inside and also tables outside.We sat in the conservatory which was a nice bright area but not much of a view as it's hidden by the parked cars.The staff bought over the menu and got us drinks very quickly then gave us five minutes to look at the menu, reasonable choice of meals and well priced.We decided not to have starters but looking at others who did they looked good we had the lamb shank and the peppered chicken for mains, both were excellent, well cooked and presented, and the portions were a very good size.We were so full after the main meal neither of us wanted a pudding.The staff had just the right level of interaction we had coffee after the meal before leaving.If you are hungry and want a great filling meal I recommend going off the beaten track to dine here I am sure it won't disappoint, they can also handle a party table of a dozen people if you want to visit as a groupIt was relatively quiet on the Tuesday night we visited, but we will certainly be returning to try more off their menu!

What a morning doing flower arranging in the function room. Met the owners who were working extremely hard but had the time to stop and chat. We stopped for lunch and decided to go for the Steak and Ale pie......Best one I've had in a long time. Well worth a visit

Our first experience at the Crown since they re opened, it was a lovely relaxed environment. We were really looked after, our waitress was lovely. Entertainment at night was great. I really reccomend the food, even the side salad was delicious.

We enjoyed our choice from the wide options on the menu. Our meals were well-presented, carefully served and delicious. Be prepared to wait for your meal, though. They don't serve ready meals!

We held my father in laws wake today, we used the function room. The room was perfect the staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was freshly made and was really good and tasty. Our guest loved the home made trifle, reminded them of the old days. Would certainly recommend and will be visiting for a meal in the future.

It’s my second time at The Crown since it re-opened so I thought I’d leave a review.It’s so hard to find great dog and child friendly gastro pubs that have great food and service too, and this is one of those hidden gems.Lovely restaurant to eat when dining in the evening, great casual dining area for lunch with the kids and dogs.Very helpful and friendly waitresses who couldn’t do enough for us (and the puppy) dog blankets and treats at the ready when we arrived. Food was hot and tasted great. Will be back again for sure. 🐾❤️

My son took me here for my birthday and the meals we had were delicious, beautiful presentation and the staff were all lovely and friendly. I would recommend it. It was beautifully trimmed up for Christmas too and smelt amazing. It was also spotlessly clean- excellent.

We found this place by mistake really. We were taken on a detour yesterday in the pouring rain and decided to call in. The staff couldn't do enough for us. We hadn't booked but they found us a table. The menu is vast. My husband had the duck pizza and I had the steak pie. The food was amazing. Fresh and hot. The service was lovely. Staff very helpful. Thanks for a great afternoon. We will be back. For the Christmas menu. 🌲☃️🌲👍

The Best Pub in the area, hands down.Offers everything: pub, restaurant, games room, live sport on TV, live music on weekends, promotions (cocktails, food, etc) and events (bonfire night, Halloween, etc).The new menu is a big improvement, we’ve enjoyed everything we’ve had. The quality is good, as are the portions. The pies are recommended!The beer selection is improved also.Always friendly, polite staff and a good ambiance - not overly rowdy or pretentious.
