Didn't expect much just wanted a quick meal, its ok but the reason for two stars is badmanagement. I ordered scampi chips peas tarter sauce as per menu. It came with no sauce so I asked for it and was told they had run out of tarter sauce three days ago. Why not say this at the point of order I would of had a different dish. The Photo scampi and mayo

Ordered one of the rainbow burgers 🍔 with the fancy colour buns, when it came it looked and felt like it had been cooked in the microwave very shrivelled and wet. Complained as soon as it was delivered but the waiter just walked of. Then he came and asked if everything was OK to which I complained again. He disappeared and then came back saying I could have a refund, which was good but the food should have never left in that state very poor, which was a shame as the rest of the food was very good.

Only reason not 5 stars is because it's not the Ritz Carlton, having said that absolutely no complaints at all. Came for a meal on a Tuesday towards the end of February (23rd) at 4.30 and this place was fairly busy but not overly so, had to queue at the bar to order for a couple of minutes so no biggie. Once ordered the food arrived within 30 minutes and all arrived together, when you consider that there were 6 people in our group I was quite impressed, the portion sizes were more than adequate and the food itself was perfectly acceptable. The real highlight though was the service, could not have been more courteous and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble will definitely be visiting again.

We ate at the restaurant last night and to say it was disappointing is an understatement. We ate there a while ago and vowed never to go back again but against our better judgement we went again. Starters arrived within reasonable time and were as expected but we had to chase our main meal which only arrived some 55 minutes after ordering it. I ordered a sizzler plate and contrary to its name did not sizzle. The microwaved soggy peppers and onions that the strange tasting chicken skewers were sat on was disappointing and tasteless. I ordered sides of sweet potato fries and coleslaw. The fries were fine but the coleslaw was served in a large dirty bowl which was presented with a napkin around it, possibly attempting to hide the filth of the bowl. The portion size of the coleslaw was massive which suggested I’d been served some decanted product direct from the fridge and not in the correct serving bowl it should have been in. To add to this my daughter order the chocolate brownie for dessert but 50% of it was inedible as it had obviously been over heated in a microwave. The women’s toilets were also in a state and smelled of strong urine. We will never dine in that place again which is such a shame as the premises creates great opportunity for it to be a good dining and drinking place but whilst the Hungry Horse chain own this site, it will continue to underperform. I complained to the Manager about the coleslaw and chocolate cake and he gave a refund however after checking my bank this morning, this has not appeared back in my account. £70 out of pocket and terribly disappointed.

Lovely meal here every time. We’ve been probably over 10 times now ranging from just the two of us, then four with the kids. Also been as an 8 with family and it’s always excellent service. Never waited long for food which is a bonus as our daughter has ASD and struggles understanding when it comes to waiting for food etc.Staff are all very friendly, parking is plentiful.Highly recommend a visit

Interior could do with a splash of paint but the food was decent, delivered pretty quick and nice and hot. It was quite busy for the time and day (Wednesday before 6pm). Food was good value. Nice that bottles of 0% beer is on offer for 2, so a pint (actually a bit more than a pint)is a very fair price (0% beer is often unfairly overpriced).

Excellent day at the mount today, lovely food & friendly staff! Also had a fantastic young man singing there today, didn’t get his name, but deserves a share as he was amazing, I’m sure he’s make it big in life, wish him all the luck!!Made my visit ever better 😊

Family meal tonight, very disappointed and won’t be returning. Food was poor and 3 meals were clearly burned. I can’t believe they brought them out, it was embarrassing. Service was poor and everything felt like too much trouble for some of the staff (only one lady was helpful). Had to ask for cutlery twice but no staff to be seen with meals going cold on the table. 1 main meal missing. Part of other meal missing and they said they would bring it out later. Had to ask again as missing item was clearly never coming. The only positive thing I can say is the food came quickly. But to be honest, after spending >£80 and the amount of other good places around, I won’t be bothering with this place again.Update 05/10/21: It’s been almost a month since I contacted them at their request and I’ve heard nothing back. Clearly just a token response to make people think they care.

Nice room. Supply tea/coffee/kettle, hairdryer, towels in room. A little damp on ceiling in bathroom in both rooms we booked.. haven't dropped any stars though as it didn't cause an issue and friendly staff and good large portion meals made up for it. A little struggle with staff at breaky..but if your happy to be patient a restock of bread for toast, bowls for cereal etc not long away. Meals reasonably priced..and being part of greeneking offers 20% off food for NHS/blue card..made our full monty mix grill only £6 each.. Impressed enough to take away there map with all greeneking hotels listed.

This review is for the hotel partThe hotel is located behind the main building of the public house.I cannot say enough good things about the staff who do exceptionally well given the limited hotel buildingThe hotel is located within 50 yards of the busy M6 (although approx a mile from junction) so the road noise is loud.I found the room very hot (no air conditioning) so it was a choice of either noise and some air or no air, swelter and heat. All the staff were excellent and they deserve better than this building
