Hallelujah... A pub with tastey real home cooked food, vegatables included. Good selection of food and drinks at reasonable prices. Friendly efficient staff. Dog friendly as well. Definitely recommend.

Delicious 😋 food, with portion sizes that are massive. Hayley who manages front of house is wonderful, she made us feel so welcome when we arrived with our son and his wife, she couldn't do enough for us. Apologises were made about a couple of staffing problems before we mentioned anything, which honestly were minor and didn't bother us as they were new and people have to learn. The place was completely packed inside and out on such a beautiful when we left at 5pm

Lovely traditional pub with helpful, welcoming staff. Food is top notch ,especially the chips 😍. Great portion sizes and the cow pie is highly recommended!

Great pub food , and service had a lovely valentines meal with my partner for valentines day . We both enjoyed our meal and the service from the staff . We will definitely be going back .

Had a fantastic Luch with 2 of my friends today, such a beautiful place, staff were so friendly, and the food was excellent, hot, massive portions, and very tasty. I would 100% recommend. go for the Lasagne and homemade 🍟!!!

One of the best discoveries of the trip!Having left the boat here for 4 days we were eager to get back just to make sure she hadn't sunk.A longish drive from Sheffield meant we wouldn't want to cook so I called this morning to see what time the kitchen closes - 7pm - it was going to be close but we made it, hungry, with minutes to spare.So here's the thing, pubs like this can vary significantly and while some are fairly dire, this was a treasure of a find.The first thing that I noticed was the friendly vibe - a bit like an old fashioned local boozer where you can almost immediately feel at home.But we came for food!And we're not disappointed. Chicken melt was huge, Brown Cow Pie outstanding and so obviously home made, with proper pastry, chips and veg - proper veg and the carrots were cooked properly too, not boiled to death soggy mush, but crisp and fresh.Add some chatty bants and you have a top boozer with fine fodder. So glad we found this place, it's exactly what we needed and the final comment I've really GOT to make is that it's also very, very good value.
