Food delicious. Service excellent. We went early and it was just right. As we were leaving it started to get busy and noisy. Lovely decor too. Well worth a visit

Brilliant lively atmosphere on walking in to Astley Point. Lizhi the Chinese upstairs is also very busy and no wonder. Excellent food, outstanding service from staff who are polite, attentive and very keen to please. Portions are humongous, and although a little on the pricey side...you get what you pay for. Plenty to take home for another meal. Spot on.

Went here for first time for a friends baby shower. The service was awful. We had booked this week in advance and paid deposits for 13 people. However on the day, a couple couldn’t attend due to Covid. Despite calling in the morning to confirm numbers, we were told we had to pay for all the bookings. Fair enough, they may have already prepared food etc but then we were told that despite having paid for 13 people, they had thought booking was for 14 and rather than checking numbers with us, they charged us for 14 people. When booking the event, the website advertised unlimited tea, coffee etc but when we arrived we were told they’d changed it and now we could only have one free drink. The choice of coffees wasn’t great either
they didn’t have any decaf coffee available at all. Now, to the “best” bit
the food arrived, beautifully displayed on a tiered serving tray. All was going well until 45 minutes later, they waitress/manager came up and asked if they could take the serving trays and put our food on normal plates, as they needed the trays for another booking! When we queried this, we were spoken to as if we were being unreasonable! They said, if we didn’t let them have the trays, they’d have to serve other people on slate trays (and apparently that wasn’t acceptable but it was fine to take our trays???!!)!Finally, they then tried to overcharge us.Really not impressed and won’t be going back!

Took mum for afternoon tea for her Mother's Day treat. We thoroughly enjoyed the food (savoury afternoon tea), which was plentiful and a good selection of sandwich fillings, followed by delicious, very light scones with jam and cream. Highly recommended.

Lovely place, pricey but lovely

Went for a baby shower (not mine 😂) and we all sat in the conservatory. It was a little cold but warmed up when everyone turned up. Food was really nice, we had afternoon tea and Prosecco was given in Ice Buckets which a must for me. Definitely would go again.

Owner could not organise a p*** up in a brewery. Staff are lovely but she seems a bully. Kicked me out when I had a party booked in the conservatory, promised by some woman called Diane and blamed me for everything then kicked us out!!!!! Disgraceful behaviour for an owner and would not recommend booking anything here as it will be disappointment.I also find it absolutely hilarious that’s it’s so difficult to post a review on the experience at astley point. It’s quite obvious the owners ( the woman who “runs it “ does not want the customers to know how bad they are at managing that place, hence why it’s so difficult to post your review.Anyway, each to their own, there is good experiences and bad experiences at that place. I’ve heard a lot more bad experiences happening there than good and I chose not to listen. I regret it I defiantly chose the wrong choiceSuch a lovely bar and it’s being run into the ground by a woman that does not know how to manage a bar

This is my third visit to The Point. It really is a fabulous place, the cheese and meat platters are delicious and there is good selection of gins & cocktails. The staff are friendly and look like they enjoy their work! The live music is good too.
