The Real China in Wigan

Hadn't been here for 2+ years due to covid. Booked a table for 4. In the past the buffet was an open affair and you could go up and pick what you wanted. Now you have to order via an app, so ensure your phone battery is full. There was a disappointing amount of choices compared to the past. All orders were placed over the app and delivered in small "ramekin" dishes via a table "robot". Portions were tiny but you can order as many as you want for the fixed price. No chicken and cashew, no lemon chicken.Minimal number of staff but generally polite.Parking outside after 6pm is £1 run by a separate service.

It's been a while since we last visited that Chinese Buffet (pre corona plandemic panic). But looks like it has gone worse. Don't really like idea of ordering something on the app and waiting for it to be delivered by robots. I loved walking around and choosing my own food and putting that on my plate. Now - too much sauce on everything. Portions? When ordered my favourite crispy duck with pancakes I got after waiting for good couple of minutes two little pancakes and a spoonful of duck meat... And the best joke was ordering Tonic Water from their app. 1.20£ for a bottle. I thought: at least 0.33l. Well... I got a bottle that could fit whole in my hand 🤔. No wonder they don't give any information about sizes. And robots? Maybe I'm too old fashioned but they should be kept away from people. Overall? Nah... I don't think I'll be coming back there.

Great atmosphere and experience! Staff were friendly and welcoming. Especially loved the Bella bot serving me food! Defo recommend the sharing platter and salt and chilli chips!

Had an amazing meal yesterday to celebrate my husbands birthday. Staff were very attentive and friendly, we were made to feel very welcome. We even had Bellabot sing Happy Birthday which was an unexpected surprise! Ordering the food on the app was quick and easy, there were so many different dishes to chose from. When it arrived it was hot and fresh, it all tasted delicious. Would not hesitate to come back soon!

I would attend this restaurant with my children and we would love it. I went with my daughter and my partner and have never felt so disappointed. The service is different but OK as its now table service. The portions are very small and have no onions or peppers in the main dishes or any dishes for that matter. The food was cold and disgusting 😒 I addressed the acting manager and he was shocked by my response. I also showed him other reviews simular to mine of which he dismissed. Save your money don't go here. The owner wanted to charge us even though we hadn't eaten the food. The restaurant was empty on a Friday night. Now I know why. The worst food I have ever tasted!!

Absolutely fabulous place. Clean, friendly, the food was delicious and fresh and served by a kitty faced robot :-DAbsolutely loved it and will be back.Great value for money and good choice of soft drinks too. Well deserved 5 stars 🌟

Had an amazing meal and staff were very friendly and attentive. The bots were an interesting addition to the experience. All the food was delicious and was served within minutes of ordering from the app that you must use to place orders on any item. Would definitely recommend anyone who likes their Chinese food to go. Parking just outside too.

Had a great meal; excellent selection available. Everything was available and served hot. Staff were attentive and being served our dishes by a bot made the experience fun! Food and drinks served quickly and found using the app really simple. The restaurant was clean and we would definitely visit again.

Absolutely fantastic experience had here! Alan our server made us feel welcome from start to finish and nothing seemed like too much trouble! We also loved Bella Bot. It was different ordering food like this but it was fresh and hot and meant we could order lots of different dishes and not waste as much as when you pile dishes high at a traditional buffet! Can’t wait to visit again!
