Where is The Whistling Wren?

🏠 Turner Way, Leigh WN7 4GX

"Find food you fancy at The Whistling Wren in Leigh Sports Village, home of the Leigh Centurions. We have a varied menu offering pizzas, grills and traditional pub classics to cater for everyone and are especially proud of our two children’s play areas. Our outdoor play area will keep the mini monsters entertained for hours, and if it’s cold or wet our indoor toddler zone is perfect for the under-fives. Grab a drink and relax while the wee ones entertain themselves, and then treat them to a meal from the children’s menu when they’ve worked up an appetite."

Hi the service was good and staff were friendly, the food was good, when the food came it was cold, so we had to return and when they got us another one it was served hot. The pizza was lovely, would recommend. The dessert was a disappointment, the sponge pudding was not soft and fluffy. Hope this helps. Thanks

Lovely food, nice vegan menu too. Restaurant was warm and inviting. Abbie was our server and was lovely. We visited again today. Mike was our server. He was fantastic! Sad to see that things have been removed from the vegan menu but Mike went above and beyond to still make something from the old menu. Thanks Mike 😀 friendly staff and nice atmosphere as usual!

Lovely visit as usual. Food was delicious and came out quickly. All the staff seemed great and very friendly. Beth greeted us at the door, she was friendly and had a chat with my little boy whilst we was being seated. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

Been a few months since I came here, loving the new menu. I ordered a large chicken burger which came with fries, very generous with the portion size. The only issue I had was it was served in bowl! definitely think a flat plate would be more ideal, had difficulty getting to the food and no room to place sauce. Other than that it was lovely, we was served by a lady called Beth who was lovely and was constantly smiling xx Great service

Not visited the pub in a while and was very pleasantly surprised. Decor was good. Very clean and welcoming - a lovely atmosphere. The food was delicious and the staff - in particular Gemma - were lovely. Great service. Very policies and friendly. Will certainly be back soon. Highly recommend a visit.

A table of 8 and fantastic service from Gemma 🎉🎉 Great food that was fresh and really good quality. Had the mega mixed grill that was fantastic and the kids loved their meals too. Really accommodating of my wife's allergies and intolerances so she was able to have a great meal too, very impressed as usually a source of much frustration and disappointment when trying to eat out. Oh, did I say that Gemma was great?

Food was good. Typical pub grub. Charged extra for sweet potato fries which was not advertised.Drinks were pricey.Lovely server bought my husband a drink as it was his birthday - I didn’t get his name though. He was brill, unfortunately not our server the whole time here.

Absolutely amazing establishment. Always greeted with smile. Our visit I was greeted by a lovely young man called josh. Showed us to our table and took a drinks order. Drinks arrived on point. We were given extra time because my girlfriend is a bit fussy. Never complained did josh even though he was busy. Came back with a smile, made us feel homely.Food amazingService amazingCleanliness of the pub amazing100% will come back
