Came here for a mother's day meal. Full table service by very pleasant staff. Food was very good, between us all we had the steak and ale pie, braised steak, scampi, sirloin steak and the curry. Everyone enjoyed it

The food was fantastic. We had the Tewkesbury Beef. OMG so soft. Good chips and veg. Cask beer was nice. The pub itself is beautiful with some quirky knick knacks around. We'll definitely be returning.

We used to go here regularly but haven't been since lockdown. We were not disappointed. Lovely meal cooked to perfection. Great variety on the menu. I had the sweet chilly salmon and my husband had the 8oz gamon. Will be going back even though we're not local. Worth the drive.

Lovely pub inside. Staff friendly. The food? A disaster. Overpriced and overcooked. We had to wait a long time for the two mega burgers. They arrived not being mega bur mini with about 10 chips and some bits from the bottom of the frying pan. Almost £40 for 2 burgers and 2 softdrinks. An absolute rip off. We won't be back

Been coming here for years and years. And always go back. All the staff are really lovely and welcoming. Nothing is to much trouble. The food is all fresh, delicious, home cooked. A little gem of a place.

Had a fabulous lunch, its pub grub but good value for money and the staff are very welcoming. The service was a little slow but the waitress said this was due to short staff on that particular day, it was busy with most tables full. We didn't have to wait overly long and we were quite happy to relax with a drink. Never had a bad meal there and we will be going again.

A really lovely pub which serves food with a wide range of choice and at a good price. Food is excellent and clearly fresh as takes some time and comes out nice and piping hot. Everything was at the right pace didn't feel as if we was rushed in to make way for others. Good amount of staff working so not waiting to be served and have plenty of tables. Would recommend , there's a good reason why it's been here for over 300 years

Excellent PUB**. Very cosy, charming, rural feel and scenic, particularly on a cold, wet or even snowy day. Car parks a hotchpotch mess, but I've seen worse. Go slow and careful no matter what car your in. Potholes, and awkward spots. The place itself is great. Excellent food, large varied menu, great value for money, very friendly and attentive staff. Indoor and outdoor seating, good covid procedures. Definitely recommend. **Just remember it's a PUB, with a pub atmosphere, not a fine dining Michelin experience. Whilst it's got some fancy food, it's mostly lots of good, home cooked, simple and large meals.
