I've lived in Leigh 4 years now and only just noticed Wigan Road Chippy, checked the Google Reviews and Food Hygene (results were great). Ordered large fish and chips with a sausage; very reasonably priced and firtst rate quality, firm fish, nice chips, neither of which were greasy. I will be using this F&C again. Highly recommended.

Called in by chance for a quick chip butty, chips were really good. Been back and had steak pudding and chips for tea. Again really good, I will be back 😊

Not great. The woman who took our order left and my friend and I were left standing outside for an age until another member of staff twigged we'd ordered and then had to check what we'd ordered and quickly sort us out but then the chips weren't any good and the curry was sweet when I'd ordered spicy. Don't know what happened there but it wasn't good

Was my first time at this chippy I come from down south where fish and chips are awful I walk through the door and have the loveliest welcome from the ladies sadly they didn't listen properly as I wanted cod and chips with battered sausage and a fishcake I only recieved battered sausage and fishcake with chips but wasn't charged for the cod but overall great welcome food was good I will be returning to hopefully get a piece of cod lol

Im From birmingham was workin up this way. had fish chips and curry sauce. Have to say that was some lovely fish and curry sauce was amazing thank you ladys. Hopefully be back soon thank you pip 😊

Nice food and fair prices but quite rude and unwelcoming

Used it 4 times now and it's been poor every time. Tonight was much worse though the Fish always seems to have a taste of bleach to it batter was soggy not crisp in anyway shape or form and even the Chips were hard. Nice and clean but the food is poor. Enough is enough we won't be going again waste of money.
