Capitol Chinese Cuisine in Wirral

Disappointing meal. Portions small, £17 fillet steak we got a very small portion. Had barbecue ribs and chicken satay skewers for starters both sauces were bland. We ordered soup and paid £4 for prawn crackers normally get them free!!. Meal was as expensive as Mr chows in parkgate but no were near as good

Overpriced and very mediocre meals. Used to be amazing but far from it now.

Prices quite reasonable. Clean. Food not bad. Not dead posh either!

Service bit slow, but food still lovely.

Christine who is the new owner was amazing and we had a fantastic family meal. The menu was extensive and a good deal. Our reason for going was it was the first place my partners parents went on their first date 50 years ago and it was amazing to be able to return for them.Sorry no pictures as tne food was so good I forgot to take them. Will return and will take photos.

Unfortunately extremely disappointing, I remember this restaurant from way back, and unfortunately tonight's visit has shattered those memories. Whoever owns this place now should be ashamed that they have tarnished this long lasting reputation. Decaying decor, filthy toilets, damp smelling extremely uninviting. Extremely dry ribs with a luke warm gravy over them, not even close to bbq sauce. Then the same gravy poured on the special fried rice main, extremely bland. And the same price as the quality Chinese/pan Asian restaurants. If your looking for a quality Asian restaurant for the same price, I would highly recommend Matau restaurant on the Albert Dock. Really disappointed 👎

Nice friendly and helpful staff, had takeaway noodles with sea food, dim sum and Chinese bok choy in garlic. They separated the noodles so it doesn't get soggy. Had a beer while waited and it all came to £29. Nice decor.

Haven't been to the Capitol for years. Decided to visit with my husband, brother and sister in law last evening. We ordered a banquet for 4 people and we were not disappointed. Really lovely food, friendly attentive staff and great atmosphere. Loved it! We ordered the Chefs Banquet at £25.99 per head.

Excellent, waiting on service attentive, food tantalising and delicious. Great value for money xx⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
