Grove House Hotel Restaurant in Wirral

Went for a meal which is now in the orangery. Sanitising stations as you walk in, all staff in either masks or visors and tables well spaced out. We felt very safe. 3 course meal was absolutely delicious, and we also benefitted from a special offer of 25% discount on our food. A thoroughly enjoyable birthday meal with drinks, beautiful food and great service. Very highly recommended by us.

Wonderfully spaced out in the Orangery. Always exquisite food, great service. Celebrated a birthday here recently and it was a lovely evening. Not amazing atmosphere but during COVID would rather feel safe and taken care of than complain about music/entertainment.

So nice to be back after so long! Very well organised with plenty of hand gels, tables well distanced for 4 or 6 people! Waiters were either masks or visors. Of course food was superb, garlic mushrooms, salmon for me, my son had king prawns and lamb and his fiancee had melon and brie and cranberry en croute. Another superb experience. First Sunday lunch (a friend’s birthday celebration) at The Grove Hotel since the start of Covid-19 pandemic. Very impressed with all the arrangements in place for the safety of guests. Staff wore the required face coverings, masks and/or visors, they also have temperature and health checks before starting their shift. Such knowledge makes one feel very safe. Menus and wine lists were for single use, table napkins (normally linen) were substantial and of a very good quality paper. Separate entrances and exit facilities. Guests were assured that cleaning and sanitising of ‘touch areas’ around the hotel is carried out every 30 minutes.Needless to say lunch was of the usual high quality, served very professionally. Good choice on wine list. I would have no hesitation in eating again at Grove House. Management have clearly worked hard to achieve a safe environment with adequate social distancing arrangements.

I would put a sixth star on this pub if it were available. Food was fantastic!! Thai nachos were spicy and delicious but the pork sandwich was to die for....best restaurant sandwich I have ever eaten. You won't be sorry if you go out of your way to eat here. Decorated beautiful and the service was spectacular. Not one complaint about this place except I don't have one where I live.

Very clean and comfortable. More homely than the usual large chain hotels and to be fair the price was about the same. A good wall-to-wall New Brighton, though there is lots of free parking in the town.We didn't stay for food. Paying for a full breakfast would have been quite expensive as we don't eat lots especially in the morning. Staff lovely. I would go again

Went for evening meal with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. Made very welcome. Beautiful place. Service and food excellent. We were treated like royalty.

Excellent really impressed with the grove brilliant service really nice food our waiter went above and beyond our expectations. We both ordered from the 3 course menu and wernt disappointed, I had the chicken pate to start followed by the pork medallions for mains which was outstanding then ordered from the desert trolley for our afters. We were both really impressed and would recommend this place.

The best 3 star hotel in the Wirral, a rating of 93% does not lie! Service is absolutely fantastic, the food is beautiful and the sweet trolley takes me back to when I was a child. We love Grove House so much, we have booked our wedding there. Nick is so helpful and rightly proud of his hotel. The inside is gorgeous, cocktails are very well made, service in the restaurant? I like a place where I get told off for pouring my own wine, nothing is too much trouble and someone is on hand all of the time to help and provide for me a service that stretches way beyond the star rating.
