Went for meal with friends this afternoon, 22/6.The food was extremely poor and service very slow. We meet and eat wth friends all over as we are caravaners.10oz gammon x2, gammon was black, overdone on one side and no eggs. Another person not quite as well done but still no eggs.A mixed grill was the same, overdone and dry, no egg. Replaced but still no egg. Another mixed grill, the meat was all over cooked. One steak meal came not as ordered. My two gammons were replaced by fish and chips, ok.There was no offer of compensation as replacements were less cost than original order.Plates were not cleared when we left after 30 minutes of no communication, and no one came to check or appologise after we had re ordered, this meant we all ate at different times.SO VERY, VERY DISSAPOINTED.

Some of the food was Luke warm and some was just cold, none of it was hot. Went at breakfast and wouldn't go again. My wife couldn't eat some of it for these reasons, and I guess that's why the person on the next table left some of theirs also. Should have gone to harvester.

Our first meal here post Covid did not disappoint. I always enjoyed Fish Friday, and the fish yesterday was cooked to perfection. I'm guessing that the same chef is working here. Well done.

Only popped in for a pint. Place was good but the tables needed a good wipe, which is a bit off putting. Other than that couldn't fault the place.

Always nice to visit here. Tends to be clean & tidy, tables cleared & turnaround is quick. Staff friendly & efficient service. A decent Spoons venue located in what was once a bank & within walking distance of Hoylake/Meols promenade.

Had a nice chat and a nice meal. I think there was a temporary hitch with till and ordering online as we never received 2 meals.

Very nice and enthusiastic staff, good beer and delicious food. The only complaint I have does not concern the pub staff. I wrote a book called "Hoylake and Meols Past" in 1992 and I see that someone has copied images from it, enhanced them and put them on the wall. Nobody ever asked me whether I would permit them to do that and my work has not been visibly acknowledged in the pub. This is at the least discourteous and at the most illegal as far as I know. I shall be having words with the management.

Well it’s a Wetherspoons, so you know what to expect if you have ever been to one before. We went for breakfast two days on the run whilst staying at a hotel in Hoylake. The traditional breakfast was nicely cooked and served on a hot plate which is good. Had refill hot drinks which were also good. There were lots of different seating options, we chose cosy areas. As always, there was some nice local history to look at on the walls and the one off carpet to admire (for those of you that don’t know this, the carpets are made especially for each pub). The staff were lovely guys one of which actually noticed that we were back for a second day.

Well what a lovely pub. Very clean and tidy. Met up with some of my friends from school had a wonderful time. The toilet are spotless. The staff very helpful and lovely at the till when they serve you. All different bunch of people in there which is nice to see

Pretty standard for a wetherspoons, the food was fine and served hot. The tables where clean as were the toilets. The staff we polite and quick as per normal. The WiFi was provided by the Cloud and was working well, which is good news as most food and drink ordering is done online from your table.
