Oak Bar & Bistro in Wirral

Order from the Oak regularly, always been happy with are choice of meals, but today the 15/07/22 it was almost like we had ordered from a different bistro it was so basic, the burger just looked like a basic macdonalds, not like they normally are from the oak, and the fish and chips which normally comes with mushy peas and tartar sauce was missing the peas and tartar sauce, was a bit disappointing.

Went for my sister in laws baby shower. Function room perfect. Good size, good bar snd great parking

First time at the Oak Bar and Bisto and it won't be the last, food was excellent and the staff are really nice, the atmosphere was very good and the place was very clean and tidy

Worst eggs benedict ever....waited ages for it. Tasted like vinegar and fatty bacon, couldn't eat it.Have to say that the staff were lively though

Lovely food, only gave it 4* because the service is so slow otherwise it would have been 5*!

Great food and service. Love it foor breakfast/brunch. And dont feel rushed when u go in for a catch up with a friend

Been before, lovely food gorgeous place. Nice atmosphere.Just todays ciabbatta not as nice as the steak one, me and my partner had the chicken chorizo which he's had previously but this time all the bottom of the bread was soaking in oil.But usually spot on.

Visited for the first time yesterday. Ordered pancakes with fruit compote and yoghurt. When it arrived it looked nothing like a pancake and can't say it tasted like one either. It was very very dry, the compote and yoghurt where very nice, didn't finish all the pancake, if I went again, I would choose something different to try. Thursday 27th January, visited here again today, asked for table for two, lady showed us two tables we could have with four chairs I asked if we could sit at the table by the window she said, that's a table for four sittings, so where the two she already said we could sit at. We chose to have two latte and toasted tea cakes advertised with butter and jam. When teacakes arrived they where stone cold and no jam. We ate them as we where hungry but definitely won't visit again .

Lovely evening with 12 others. Excellent food and service was brilliant. Staff were very pleasant and served us brilliantly. Would definitely go there again 👍
