The food really good here. We just wanted to give the staff a shout out to how brilliant they are. There was a rude customer who was insulting our company once explaining the situation to the staff they respond quickly and made us feel at ease. So thank you very much to staff 🏅

This is not a fancy gastro pub but if it's decent pub grub you're after with a very warm welcome in west kirby then look no further, good ales and drinks; genuinely helpful friendly staff. Me likes it!!I love the sign to the huge beer garden which reads"dogs and horses welcome"Huge carpark too.

Went for an early midweek meal with my family. Had to wait 10 minutes to be served with drinks at the bar. Surprising as there was only 2 other customers. Upon taking the drinks back to the table the soft drinks we ordered tasted watery and flat. Took them back, again having to wait at the bar but the drinks were replaced. Bartender serving said it was the ice! Never had a flat drink because of ice before. We went on to have 2 curries, fish and chips and scampi and chips. My curry and rice was cold as was my daughters and my husbands fish was grey inside (instead of the expected white). Portion size of chips on the scampi and fish was poor. We would have taken the meals back but another wait at the bar put us off. Another customer commented to us about the poor service. We have been at least once a month and this was the first bad experience but it has put me off going again.

Really lovely place to celebrate my sister's birthday. Our party had the fish and chips, hunters chicken and peppered mushroom pie. All were served with gourmet chips and veg or mushy peas (for the fish and chips). All the dishes came piping hot and perfectly cooked. Our waitress was really nice and helpful and very efficient. We enjoyed salted caramel sundaes, vanilla cheesecake and chocolate brownie for desert, again served quickly and all delicious. The bar staff served quickly and all our drinks were correct. Sometimes you go to some places and they can't even get the drinks order right but not here, we enjoyed service with a smile. Definitely going to visit again.

We had a family Sunday Lunch, 14 of us. Not rushed, which was brilliant. Food choose excellent and cooked really well. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Children were welcomed and there were toys available. Great. Highly recommend.

Good pub grub, good setting.Pricing similar to Wetherspoons but a better variety in food, and better quality. Separate menus for gluten free, veggie/vegan, kids, and seniors.Food always served hot and quickly.Had a small issue after ordering a gluten free meal (server forgot to add the note to the kitchen saying gluten free) fresh meal cooked quickly without hassle.Overall, very good, will be back again soon

Wow unbelievable. Steak fajita was fantastic. Quick service, nice place, very clean. Came here on a recommendation from my Sister and its easily one of the best lunch places to visit. If you visit get the fajita and onion rings!!! Great.

I was here last week and thought I would write a review because it’s just a lovely pub. They’ve seemed to change the menu from the last time I was here and I’ve got to say it’s far better than what it was. The staff along with the food was outstanding but the ginger lad behind the bar, I think his name was Declan was really lovely and really enthusiastic which is what every place like this needs. He was on his own with a bit of a rush on but still managed to entertain everyone waiting. I definitely will be returning and keep it up Ring O Bells!!!

Distinctly average or below average pub food but the service was just really poor. If they had been super busy one could almost forgive the cappuccino that arrived coffee in it, the hot chocolate that arrived after 2 reminders, the kids ice creams that arrived before they were even half way through their bland mains, the steak that was just stringy and awful. Will not return.

The pub is under new management (Sept 2014) A very enthusiastic and friendly couple now run the pub. They have great plans for the future of the pub including a real ale bar.At the time of my visit there were several real ales on including some rare ones including "Cornish Knocker" and a Halloween brew.Food is Excellent value for money with a two and three course deal until 5pm.Took a while to find it but will definitely go back.Dave C
