Gorgeous little place overlooking the sea and the Coronation Gardens. The food is delicious and all home made. I can definitely recommend the scones which were the best I've had. The service is friendly and efficient. Absolutely loved it.

£30 for the tiniest jacket potato I think I’ve ever seen, 3, yes only 3 cod goujons and a tiny portion of chips. Plus a couple of drinks. An absolute rip off.The customer service or lack of it was terrible. Our table was only cleared as we sat down. And they didn’t even wipe it down. If we had seen a soul in the place, I probably would have asked them if they could please wipe it down for us. Why should I even have to ask? Surely cleaning of tables is a minimum cleaning requirements! You had to go and find someone yourself, anytime you needed anything, just to even pay. When the young lady waitress brought our drinks to a different table, I said to her those are for us. And when she gave me the beer which was for my husband, I switched it over to his side, and vice versa with my coke. I didn’t at any point say that the beer was mine. All I said was those drinks are ours as she was looking around. She then turned to the table next to us, and said ‘something like:I thought she was saying the beer was for her. Then they all laughed.Whilst I didn’t hear what she actually said, it’s very unprofessional to make comments about customers, to others right in front of them, and then laugh. The food was average at best, terrible customer service, and very overpriced food.

Very nice place for a snack/meal. The views are outstanding over the marine lake. Staff friendly and food excellent. Definitely worth a try.

Arrived at 2.30 waitress forgot about us so we did not place order til 3. One slice of cake was twice the size off the other. No extra hot water for tea. Asked for glass of water and it came in a tiny glass filled with ice. first visit and probably our last. I know they were chefless today but its not rocket science to serve tea and cake. Ignoring customers and then seating and serving others is a big no. Nice view and clean toilets but very disappointing.

First lovely day of the year, went to order an ice cream or a coffee to takeaway with my dad. We were immediately greeted very rudely and told we couldn't come in because there were no tables. Apparently they don't want to sell ice cream or takeaway coffees?

It could be better, menu was very limited. When our food was bought over to us, we were not asked if we would like any sauces and had to ask for them. The first table we were given wasn't cleaned properly. Food wasn't up to much and we could of done better at home. Too expensive for level of service and food quality.Good for a quick cup of tea and a slice of cake but not for a sit in and relax lunch. It has many tables for two and I wouldn't recommended for a family of 4 or more. There is small covered area outside where you can sit with your dog and have a drink etc but only good if not many people with dogs are already sitting there as the space is rather small.

First time here and will not be our last. Blankets and heaters provided if you want to sit in the open. Estuary view towards Wales, large lawns to the rear.good menu, everything we had looked freshly made.Takeaway available and check out the movie nights!Yes, well worth a visit- try it !
