The Devon Doorway in Wirral

Spent an enjoyable evening yesterday at the Devon Doorway. We were well looked after at all times by Charlotte, Abbi and their top team of welcoming staff. Nothing was too much trouble, refreshing beers and hearty well cooked meals were the order of the day.Looking forward to returning very soon, always a pleasure !Thanks again

Went for the first time last Wednesday to celebrate a family occasion. The waiters were excellent and the food was good when it eventually arrived, and I would have liked to provide a better rating however there were too many issues. Firstly, it took too long. We arrived at 6.30 but didn't eat until after 8pm. We weren't in a rush so it didn't matter but not good enough. Secondly, the starters didn't arrive and had to be re-ordered. For main I chose the half rotisserie chicken, and that's what I was expecting, but was presented with two separate pieces comprising a leg and breast. A bit disappointing. Everything else was good though, the veg was beautiful and excellent wine. To be fair, it was explained that the kitchen was short-staffed so we were compensated with a sincere apology and reduction off the bill. The location and decor are excellent, and the place was busy, but for us, the experience wasn't quite up to scratch.

Excellent food & service! thanks to Charlotte,George & max ( the chef) for looking after us! Amazing roast dinner and desserts. The Live singer was fantastic! Great tunes. Highly recommend.

What a beautiful place to be. The staff are amazing and look after their customers. The dink and food menu is also some of the best!Location is amazing if you like car spotting also 😊

Slightly off the beaten track but has good motorway links via the M53. Car parking when busy can be congested, recommend using the smaller car rather than 4x4. Booking online or via phone couldn't be easier. Menus available very versatile and applied to parts of the day. Food quality is excellent with prices from £16-£26, wine and beer selection for all tastes. Excellent website for all relevant information.

Popped in for some food and drinks at The Devon Doorway, the service was brilliant, as well as the food! Charlotte, was fantastic and a credit to the business! She looked after us from start to finish and recommended a beautiful bottle of wine to accompany our meal.Will 100% be back to try more of the menu! We organised hiring the pub out on a Sunday morning for our post wedding breakfast and I cannot thank Phil and the team more. The food and drink was fabulous and our guests really enjoyed meeting up again the morning after to discuss the night! Thank you for being so accommodating!

Lovely place beautiful decor and th e dirty burger is to die for

Steak was lovely, prawns weren't cleaned though, the black forest bomb was very over priced, not much in it and didn't taste of a lot. Service was nice but overall meal took 2 hours even though we only had 2 courses. Overall a nice atmosphere.
