Went for a Sunday lunch, pre ordered meals for 8 adults and 5 children. Orders were sent via email weeks in advance but no confirmation of the order being received, had to amend order 10 mins after but still no confirmation of order. On arriving there was a significant lack of direction from management for the floor staff, who were unsure as to what tables were for our party (one table did not even have the cutlery).I want to add that at no point where the waiting staff doing anything wrong and I cannot fault them as they were visibly trying their best. The waiting staff were all young individuals who needed more guidance from a senior experienced member of staff. It took 20 minutes from first sitting to get our first drink, 40/50minutes for starters and kids meals (all young children), 1.45 hour for our second drinks which came in two Halves with about 10 minutes between. 90 minutes for mains to arrive and with one main missing where a young member of staff was sent to our already disgruntled table to explain that it was our fault due to order being sent over two separate emails.Throughout the entire 2 hour ordeal a member of staff was drinking, pouring drinks for himself behind bar and was visibly intoxicated, stumbling over furniture and drinking from the bar, when we asked to speak to a member of the management this individual stated that he did not know if any management was on the premises. Throughout the visit there was a clear break in communication between management to staff and a significant lack of leadership. As someone who has worked in the hospitality industry for 8 years I can only say that It’s a shame as there’s clearly potential for this place to be brilliant to go for food and drink year round and I hope that the young members of floor staff have better support in future

I went here for a Sunday lunch and I wasn't disappointed. Large portions and tasty.Staff on the other hand took ages to serve us drinks and dessert. Waiting almost 40 minutes after ordering desserts for them to come. They also seemed to be quite vacant and flippant at times.Definitely worth a trip just for the food, but be prepared to possibly wait between courses.

Really nice meal the lunchtime menue had traditional fish and chips with mushy peas. The fish was perfectly cooked with crispy batter. My wife had the beef and mudhroom ciabata with stilton and really enjoyed it. All for less than ÂŁ30 including a pint of Timothy Taylors and a half of San miguel zero

A friendly environment with hot and tasty food. The staff here are really friendly and helpful and appear to enjoy their work! The Sunday lunch is exceptional! Very reasonably priced menu. Loads of free parking directly outside their door. I've eaten here before and we always go back! I'd definitely recommend eating here! Their Choc Maskaponi pudding was delightful!

Really nice eatery. The food was delicious, very tasty and really hot. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming especially Emily who was lovely, always coming to see if we were OK and needed anything. Nothing was too much trouble. There is also an outside seating area which is very nice to sit in looking over the beautiful scenery.

Really delicious lunch! Chicken and broccoli pie of the day, served with handmade chips and veg, and a Turkey & gravy sandwich served on Spanish bread. Chips were thick cut, double fried and extremely tasty! Will definitely visit again to try more dishes on offer.
