The Red Fox in Wirral

Lovely cosy pub with lots of rooms to eat or drink in. Outside gardens lovely too, especially if there are children in your party. Not eaten yet but only heard good revues and menu looks nice.

The Red Fox itself is in a really lovely setting. The whole ambience inside is GR8. There were seven of us out for a birthday. The range of beers & quality of how it’s kept is above expectation. The varied menu could be from any similar pub in the UK. Nothing outstanding or adventurous, just simple ‘pub’ food. Between the 7 of us the bill was not insignificant. Unfortunately, the service seemed to be in disarray & really quite slow. Hence why it’s a 3 star rating. Sort that out & it’ll be ‘so’ much better🤞

Beautiful surroundings, excellent food and genuinely lovely and helpful staff. I took my 90 year old mum for lunch. She said she wants her next birthday there. Excellent facilities as well as luxurious surroundings the lift etc is essential for my mum. And as for me I wont be driving next time as the range of cask ales is exceptional

As ALWAYS, we had a fantastic meal at the Fox ( our go to place for special celebrations… and our go to place when we just want a lovely meal in a great place.) The food is always beautiful ( and such a choice, although I missed my Fish Cakes on this occasion.) The staff are brilliant and no matter how busy, they are always friendly and helpful. Great place, keep up the good work ( please ! )

Absolutely lovely food, staff friendly and efficient. The building was striking and very welcoming. Nice big fires in different rooms. From modern to period...you should give it a try if your looking for good quality pub grub. Very reasonably priced.

Been to Red Fox a few times. My favourites are braise shoulder of lamb and fish and chips😄 I've tried their sea bass fillet, venison hot pot and calamari. Friendly staffs and good atmosphere.

Vegan options available for nibbles, starters, mains and desserts. Delicious food and lovely staff. Very cosy inside and the tables are far enough apart for you to feel safe.

Good size car park. Lovely big place with a variety of seating areas and plenty of stuff to look at. Tables nicely set apart so that you didn't feel cramped together. Nice ambiance. Staff very friendly. Service was good. All the food turned up at the same time and was delicious. We booked online which was very easy to do. They asked you to confirm your booking a couple of days earlier which is fair and also easy to do. Ate three courses in two and a half hours and didn't feel at all rushed.

Excellent customer service and delicious food. We dined at The Red Fox last night and each of us (party of 4) had a three course meal. Every dish was cooked to perfection and the presentation was fantastic too.We will definitely be back... we’re hoping to book in for a roast dinner soon. This is our go-to restaurant when family come to visit from outside the area. Everyone we have brought here has loved it. The surroundings, in the beautiful South Wirral countryside, are stunning, with gardens and fields stretching to a distant tree line behind the restaurant and grass and trees all around. As for the restaurant itself, it's large and spacious with beautiful views on three sides. Tables are well-spaced. The staff are always friendly, attentive and helpful. Most importantly, perhaps, the food is always excellent. The menu changes daily and all of the ingredients taste fresh and are expertly combined to produce consistently delicious meals.The restaurant adjoins the pub which itself has a lovely country atmosphere with an open fire in the winter and a good range of beers and ales.
