The River View in Wirral

This is a good pub, we always break our journey here when walking from Hamilton Square station to the Swinging Arm. The pub is always busy and the tables always seem to have plenty of diners at them, with people frequently asking if there's any tables free for food, I'd say the food must be very good, and I can. Definitely confirm that the beer is spot on.

Highly recommend the Sunday roast which my family and I enjoyed today. Booked a table for 11. We all agreed it was Top notch ingredients cooked perfectly 😋.Roast beef Roast lamb or Roast chicken served with crispy roast potatoes, carrot 🥕 and turnip mash, sprouts, cauliflower. Yorkie pud and lashings of savoury gravy.We even managed dessert.Thank you Kirsty and Paula and your happy staff for making us welcome and serving such a fab dinner.

We called today for a drink. A pint of John Smith's and a diet coke. It was a pleasant atmosphere with music tv playing in the background. A super view over the water from the seat next to the window. The barmaid was friendly. It wasn't busy either.

First time visiting on Sunday, lovely pub great atmosphere friendly staff will certainly visit again.

Great pub for after work and wind down. Good lagers and friendly staff who throw a quiz or two to brighten up the evening

Don't go to this pub !! I went with my partner for a quiet lunch Got there and a member of staff who was having her lunch talking to some regulars The volume of her talking ( shouting ) was was so loud we couldn't hear ourselves think We cancelled are food complained and left our drinks !! When approaching this woman there was no apology Bad Management Will telling everyone about this bad experience 😱😡😡 UNBELIEVE!!!!

Really lovely pub, with warm, welcoming staff. Had a great chat with with lovely lady behind the bar. I'll be back for food, menu looks amazing. Karaoke every Friday 8 till late!.....that's me hooked.

Unfriendly atmosphere with very loud music and smelly toilets. Drinks are reasonably priced though.

Nice clean family run business great Sunday lunch friendly atmosphere welcoming had a fantastic Sunday roast with all the trimmings even provide highchairs for infant's.

We had a nice trip over on the ferry to find that the Woodside ferry village was shut so nowhere to have a little tipple! No one mentioned it on the ferry 🤨 thankfully this pub was just a 10 minute walk into the town. Really friendly staff and a decent priced round. Dad in law particularly liked his Czech beer 👍 small outside seating area
