The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and Tidy. Two singles and a double bed all lovrly and clean.. Although the bathroom had a bit of mould it was still really clean and smelt clean too. Plenty of toilet roll and towels etc. Hairdryer and tv worked great. Kettle with tea and coffee. Happy with our stay :) pub next door and vending machines in corridors were well priced.

Came in for some food and got a great deal on the big plates. They have offers for food everyweek and if you download the sports app while you're there then you can claim a free drink and 10% off on drinks. When we sat down we had our own personal television with the match playing. This place does great deals and the food quality and drink quality was top notch.Lastly the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would fully recommend going with friends or with family. Will definitely be visiting again very soon

I was surprisingly impressed by this pub. The food (roast beef, well cooked veg & Yorkshire pudding) was tasty, and decent value for money. With great service & a pleasant atmosphere, it all made for a decidedly enjoyable lunch.

several members of my family fell ill off the food (steak was the culprit I believe) so just avoid the steak. Food tasted nice and the prices are good, I just wish there was more selection when it came to smaller sized meals. Like their snack section included things like a whole baguette (which can have chips added to it). The food hasn't caused issues in the past there must just have been an issue on the day (hopefully).

Excellent hotel clean and tidy...large restaurant (Green King/hungry horse) large free car park.Shame the television was rubbish...Saturday night no “Quest” along side many other freeview channels.

Booked a table in advance. Staff were friendly enough. Food was really good for pub grub. I had a smothered steak was really good value for money. The atomic wings are a delicious starter. Beer reasonably priced. A positive experience

So it was nice yet just lacking in so many ways.Don’t get me wrong here, it’s cheap and cheerful and I would go back, just not in a hurry! My picture is of a mixed grill, they didn’t have a few of the cuts of meat so they replaced them with more chicken breasts. Like I say it was nice food, but three on one plate??We stayed in the attached hotel and found breakfast was exactly the same, one day a meal came with toast, the next it came with a hash brown but no toast? We ordered different meals and on day one three extra items yet on day two the bill was identical? The service was great place ok, but the food a lucky dip as to what you’d get.The hotel again was nice enough and very cheap so we weren’t expecting the world. It was clean enough and a good bed/ nights sleep. However the roof plaster was pealing off and the bathroom ceiling had mold on it. You have to hold the tap whilst you turn it as it wasn’t secure but it was very cheap so…Like I say, I probably would go back for food, next time we’ll stay round the corner.

Overall great visit. Like other busy pub facilities can sometimes be a little wait for food. Good size servings with friendly staff. I have read the comments on reviews and I suggest you give this pub a visit, much improved as Manager says.

A bit of a mixed feelings review on this place. But overall I wont be visiting againThe serving staff were very good, I can't fault any of them. The food was OK at best, the steak and gammon was too fatty by far but the rest was ok.The biggest negative for me, especially in the current covid crisis was the cleanliness.Old food bits on the chairs, sticky tables and filthy toilet facilities. It's not like the place was busy, it wouldn't take much to check them now and then. They had an inspection schedule in there but it hadn't been used at all that day and it showed.
