The Saughall Pub in Wirral

I must say out of all the roast dinners out this is by far the best.A group of 5 people, 2 got roasts dinner and 3 chose from menu.I had roast was amazing proper roasties carrots and turnip and mushy peas along with extras like cauliflower cheese parsnips stuffing and real tasty gravy , will definitely be backCompliments to the chef 😋

Update. These deals are no longer available. There is a new deal £8.99 for a main and starter. But it's a very limited menu.This place was renowned for its great choice of starter plus mains menu.Also a much longer wait for food. Staff are great but something has changed. May be a while before I go back unfortunately 😕

Great food amazing service.such a warm welcome from all staff. Couldn't ask for more. Prices for the home cooked fresh meals is so cheap .such a lovely place.

Please donot get caught out with the new menu because staff will not inform you.Not everything on menu is with 2 courses for new price £8.99 its all mixed.They really should have two menus. Its always been 2 couses buy starter or desert and get main free.very disappointed I will not be going again we ended up paying full price for main £8.99 then paying for other course.Waited a very long time for meal and some of food cold.

Great place!The staff are great with good attitudes and will do anything to help.The atmosphere is great for adults and families alike. You literally will be hard pushed to find a better place to eat that's better value for money.Just under £7 for a starter and main or main and pudding. Even at this price the food is fantastic in quality and portion size! In other places I've paid over double this amount and still not got anywhere near the quality of food that you get at the Saughall Hotel!There is plenty of outdoor seating a well as inside. Plus the family friendly beer garden is loved by the kids as it is has a good play area and a free to use bouncy castle as well.So if your in the area you should give it a try as this is an honest independent patron review, I'm not staff or receiving any kick backs etc.

A nice pub with two halves. One half a more restaurant feel with tables and chairs of various numbers. The other half a more relaxed sports bar area with pool table and dart board. The outside play area is good if you have younger members in your party. The carvery is cheap and very decent though it really does vary according to the timing of your visit. The puddings are excellent. Haven't tried starters. Staff were very accommodating and friendly.
