The Spice Garden in Wirral

Literally the worse Madras and Pasandar we have ever eaten!! Both dishes were watery and tasteless. Will not order from here again.

We have eaten at the Spice Garden for several years. Food is always freshly cooked and tasty. Highly recommend. Don’t be put off by bad delivery reviews because the food is excellent. Had a great meal last night. Staff very attentive and caring. Well done.

Unfortunately ordering a delivery means you will wait almost 2hrs or more for food. My address is 7 minutes away from the restaurant yet this has been how long it took every time. I say this because I have ordered once before and was very disappointed with how long it took, but thought I would give them a second chance. If I’m honest, the curry is good but the customer service and delivery time is way below par. I wouldn’t advise ever ordering a delivery. I certainly won’t be again.

Echo the really poor experiences others have posted about lately. Food is always so late and terrible manners when calling to check. We had used this place during lockdown lots & raved about the amazing quality food and service. A third negative experience last night prompted a check of recent Google reviews to see if others had noticed a change too. Hope this once lovely takeaway/restaurant can return to being a favourite but for now we’ll be trying elsewhere.

We had high hopes for this restaurant, after speaking with friends who have had great experiences here. So we took the plunge to order here today rather than our usual place. Positives, poppadoms and chutney were great as was the keema mushroom rice. The delivery guy was super friendly and apologised for the 30 minute delay. Negatives, the food had to be microwaved as was luke warm, the lamb jalfrezi was certainly not medium spiced, instead very very mild and bland, and was overloaded with onion, approx 2 pepper slivers and no fresh green Chillies, the Keema Naan had no Keema in it, and pre ordering the food before the restaurant opened with a specified delivery time didn't make a difference. When I called the restaurant to check what had happened as the order on Just Eat was marked up as if it had already been delivered, so the person who answered was blunt and refused to hold a conversation. Very rude  and really needs to listen. Overall very disappointed in the negatives and unfortunately these have outweighed the positives. This was the one and only time we will be ordering from there.

Would give more stars as good quality, but I find the amount of vegetables in the vegetarian dishes very poor. My first takeaway had loads, ever since, very little. But at least there's a free bombay aloo I can pinch potatoes from!

We always have good food at the Spice Garden. It is our local restaurant and does excellent delivery too.

Food was lovely as always and service by sonjay was excellent he really looked after us.

The worst experience of my life and I didn't even get to tasting the food!! Awful attitude from the owner. Had to leave after being seated with my entire family (party of 11). Certainly won't be going back and definitely wouldnt recommend it especially after a cockroach welcomed me at the counter!!

Lovely food, thawa highly recommend. Staff friendly and attentive. One of the best curry restaurants in the area. Their take away menu also very good
