Three Stags in Wirral

We usually frequent The Grieve Dunning however they were at capacity on the day in question so we opted for the Three Stags. Unfortunately the experience was not to the normal standard we receive, We ordered one Rib Eye and One Sirloin, they were delivered to our table within six minutes. Both steaks were dry,bland and not to your usual standard.I have no complaints regarding your staff they were pleasant and courteous. I was surprised to see that there had not been any price increase considering the current cost of living climate. Just an observation please do not sacrifice quality and standards over maintaining cost.

The food quality has gone from average to amazing. Everything we have ordered from the new menu has been absolutely delicious. The portion size of the Chipotle Chicken was right. The Steaks on grill night were amazing. One of the best meals I have had in a long time. Please keep it up! (See the photo - ignore the extra tomato and mushroom...my wife is fussy).[UPDATE: Since writing this 5 star review I have returned numerous time just for the quality to go down. Yesterday, I had the same main. It wasn't trimmed properly and was full of gristle, plus the chips were overcooked and hard. Really substandard. I had high hopes that this new menu and standard would become the new norm.]

Sunday menu was fantastic, thoroughly enjoyed our roast, better than the last one we went to in a fancy Restaurant. Dessert wasn't as great as I hoped. Quick service, never had a bad meal here.

Booked this morning. Good job, people were waiting without a booking.Nice meals but HUGE!GREAT staff. Very helpful. Will defo go back again.

Always been a great place for drink and food. Loads of room, plenty of outdoor space and a decent car park.

Regular visitors at lunchtime with my father in law.Obvious choice to have mum in law's Wake there. Staff were amazing. The quality and choice of food for the buffet was incredibly good value for money. The whole family highly recommend The Three Stags!

Another fabulous meal at The Three Stages. Would highly recommend. Lovely welcoming staff that do their utmost to make your visit the best. Nothing is too much trouble. Can’t wait to go back.

Not a good experience . Ordered vegetarian chilli which came in a childs desert bowl, ordered garlic bread with cheese which wasn't brought out with our meal, when reported to the waiter he brought us garlic bread but without the cheese. Ordered the sea bass, skin was soft slimy and unseasoned. Will not be returning!

The alcohol won't really get you drunk BUT the food is very good and I've never had any problems. The range of desserts is amazing. Calamari was nice but a bit overcooked.

Had an amazing time, only downside was only had 2 hrs to explore. Lovely people, great talks and amazing place. Great for all ages, lots to see and do.
