Not what it used to be! Just been for Sunday lunch and ordered the duo of meat dinner, 1 tiny wafer thin slice of turkey, and one average slice if beef, was supposed to be accompanied by 4 pigs in blankets, none turned up, had to go back up to the bar and wait until someone was free to let them know, in all honesty, quite poor meal.

Sunday roast, three course set menu, the price was reasonable, very little choice starters and main, although the beef was nice just two small slices, the desserts were really delicious, found the wine a little pricey, think the venue could do with a refurbishment, so will not be returning.

Went for a catered after funeral. Excellent food and very generous too. Ended up bringing some home, as did other guests. Highly recommended.

Today was very disappointing, sadly. We have been here several times. I ordered from the lunchtime menu - 2 courses for £7.99. But because I was not ordering a main meal, I couldn't do this. (I had a starter and a desert, which cost more than if I'd had a main meal.There was no atmosphere and I had to wait ages for my dessert. Very disappointing for somewhere we have eaten many times and enjoyed. Sorry!

It was nice the only issues was the child size portion of chips but apart from that couldn't say a bad word.

Lovely venue both inside and out. Welcoming staff with genuine smiles. Food was delicious.Will say this is the best pub grub in the area. Highly recommended.

Thoroughly enjoyable pub meal. Excellent quality, fantastic portion sizes. I'm stuffed. Service was exactly what you'd want, friendly but not over the top and food arrived in good time with no mistakes at all, even with a couple of amendments we made. Thank you to all staff, you were great.

Booked a table for lunch for our wedding anniversary.Staff were all courteous and prompt to serve even though the pub was busy.We each ordered the 3 course lunch special which didn’t disappoint.Food was delicious and served with perfect timing.Will definitely be returning.
