Poor confidence regarding allergies. Would not go here if you do suffer from allergies. I have a fish allergy, I ordered my food and was told it’s all okay as well as checking the allergen menu and ordering food without my allergies in. As food was being served I was told I could not have my chips as they’d just been told everything was fried in one fryer ( so everything fried had traces of fish) Clearly there was no separate fryer for meat or veg. Allergens clearly need updating as this is dangerous. On arrival, service could of been more welcoming. I would definitely not recommend going with an allergy unless you want to take the risk!

Guy on front of house was about as welcoming as a hungry rottweiler. Had a couple of drinks and hubby had the best steak pie ever, although it initially came out cold in the middle, it was re served and he loved it. Waiting staff were so friendly and pleasant

Started off great,The pub looked nice.My starter was nice, then I ordered a lamb shank, I started to eat the meal and it was nice but as I got to the middle it was frozen,The manager did knock half the shank price off but I had eaten half my meal before I realised, really disappointed. We had to keep asking for desserts and the bill too

Poor experience. Over cooked steak (ask for rare) recieved well done.chips and meat very dry on my mixed grill.90 min wait for 5 main meals after asking before we sat down how long it would take. Answer was not very long. Considering the place wasnt very busy found this to be a very very long wait for 5 plates of food. Had to send the pizza back due to still being raw in the middle.Won't be in a hurry to return

We recently visited The Kingfisher for an all day get together of various family and friends from the local area. I made the booking from Canada and turned up not knowing what to expect. I was blown away. The place was lovely spacious and we had a great table set for us away from the rest of the pub. The drinks and food were great, service very good, and the owners absolutely lovely. I would have no hesitation in coming back here again the next time I visit home! Top marks all round. Thank you!

The kingfisher is definitely worth a visit! The servers are friendly and efficient, nothing is too much trouble. The food is delicious and home cooked and the portions are generous!

I have visited the Kingfisher three times now, it is very welcoming and staff are very proactive in their customer service. I have not been disappointed with the food I have chosen which includes starters, main courses and desserts. I Have enjoyed my visits and have no problem in making this a regular venue for lunch or tea.

We decided to pop in for Sunday dinner but wished we never had bothered. The roast potatoes had dried out making it near impossible to cut them up, the Yorkshire pudding were overcooked to the point they shattered when a fork was placed inside them. Food was served warm. The only saving grace on the plate is a generous portion of roast beef was served up.I have had a lot better carverys for the price and overall I was disappointed with the kingfisher experienceOn the positive side, the staff were very friendly and the place is very welcoming and clean.

Took my family out for a meal on the here on the 8th April. First time I have visited The kingfisher, as I have heard my daughter in law mention, she has been with her grandparents. The meal was absolutely amazing, delicious, the staff were very nice, both my grandson's cleared there plate and said it was delicious. Thank you so much for making us feel welcome. Xx

Absolutely lovely meals. It was our first time here, my daughter lives near and suggested it.Wasn't dissapointed with the meals we all enjoyed them.I had the large roast dinner and one of my daughter's did, it was so tasty the beef was lovely.Very colourful plate as there was Savoy cabbage and carrot batons and the cauliflower cheese was lovely. Homemade roast potatoes and two big homemade Yorkshire puddings. My partner loved the salt and pepper chicken and chips.Would definitely go here again, lovely inside and the staff so attentive, couldn't fault it
