Maya in Wyre

Just got our first takeaway delivered. Really surprised that it arrived in less than 30mins on Valentine's Day! Everything was hot, clean, not greasy at all. Nice flavours and decent portions. Next time we'll be coming in for the 3 course deal.

Slightly disappointed really. Ate here (admitted before lockdown) and was really impressed by the food and atmosphere. Visited for the first time tonight since lockdown and was surprised. Firstly the place does now not serve alcohol (which is a change from the previous visit). Whilst not a deal breaker, the restaurant now seems more concentrated on takeouts/Justeat orders. The phone was constantly ringing, whilst we were the only ones in the restaruant on a Sat night, which felt odd. Felt more like a takeout which we happened to be sat in. Hope this place returns to the previous lockdown level, although I suspect the online order businesses is just too profitable.

The mango chutney was really tasty. The curry sauce on the other hand contained too many crunchy chunks of onion. nearly choked on 3!The garlic chicken was literally plain chicken with no sauce. Furthermore the garlic naan came plain. Not the worst takeaway experience but very lack luster. Room for improvement. Not in a rush to re order from here.

Food is great. But the delivery times are a joke. You’re given one time, only to find out after waiting another 15 minutes that it’s only just being prepared and won’t be delivered until an hour after you were told. We won’t be getting food again

The food used to be excellent full of flavour,however the quality has been declining over a period of time. The Spinach has become bland and tasteless and tastes of over used cumin. It would seem that they have changed Chefs and the care and quality has declined considerably, they don't seem to chop the onions correctly or can't be bothered and have thrown semi cut onions which aren't even cooked properly straight into the dish. Every dish is bland and has become flavourless to the point I tipped my food in the bin tonight. As for the deliveries, every time I receive my food from being delivered, everything has leaked into the bag, even after informing the restaurant??? I can only imagine the food is either stacked on top if each other without any care and to top it all tonight, my raita sauce had completely leaked into the bag along with the curry leaking into the bag. .so again no sauce....I won't be using this restaurant ever again....

I've been to the Maya many times, this was the first time since the pandemic.Waiters were good as always and took the time to explain that they no longer serve alcohol (nor can you take your own) due to the owner deciding to take his religion more seriously after 40 years of serving alcohol in his two restaurants.I've no issue with that but I believe it will put many off and Maya won't be much longer in Poulton. Maybe the owner has worked out that they can get by on take aways, our table was the only one at half 7 to half 9 on a Friday evening.The food was OK but not as good as I've had previously and in my opinion not to the same quality as other Indians in Poulton any longer.I had Chicken Chat Puri and chicken pakoras as a main.The fact we couldn't have a beer with our meals (it was a works leaving do) meant we left as soon as we could (service wasn't very quick, hence us being in two hours and we only ordered main courses and sides), I think the kitchen may have been instructed to prioritise the take away orders of which there were maybe 5 pick ups while we were there. There was only one chef on which I think speaks volumes for a Friday night at a time when take aways have become more popular still.Sorry Maya, it is unlikely I will return again and if your no alcohol policy applies to the Fayez in Cleveleys, I won't be going their either even though I have NEVER had a bad meal there since 1991.

Absolutely awful, food was bland and cold, ordered garlic chicken and I got eight pieces of dry garlic over cooked chicken in a container. I took it back but told me I was wrong an I had ordered the wrong dish, no refund so they gave me the same cold dry chicken back in a bland sauce. Demanded I pay by cash not card. AWFUL, avoid!!!!

Can't fault this restaurant, never had a bad meal in all the years I've been a customer.Looking forward to having a sit down meal again when you are allowed back in, so shall have to keep having a takeaway until then.Excellent staff as well.

Really great experience I would recommend dining here, really friendly staff and the owner is lovely

Waited 90 mins for food and found some of it missing and cold chips. Phoned up to request the missing items which was told would arrive in 30 mins. 90 mins later the missing food still not arrived so again another phone call and was told it would be another 15 mins. The missing food did arrive about 20 mins later. Chips still cold.Only excuse they could give was that they were busy. Being busy excuses the initial 90 min wait and mistakes are made but having to wait nearly 2 hours for the mistake to be rectified is not acceptable.Extremely poor service to rectify a mistake and don’t deserve my custom again.
