Excellent food. Perfect lamb and vegetables. Fish pie should not have pastry on. Orange juice and lemonade should come in one glass with enough space for the lemonade! Great Epic burger. Great brunch. Lovely iced coffee.

Highly recommended by local Violin shop to visit for lunch. Wow! Not wrong! Great food, fresh and tasty. Decent portions too. Good service. We finished off with a waffle banana thingy! Amazing. Wish we had a New Penny in South Liverpool!!

Loved how the place was so warm and the staff were really kind. I l9ved the variety of choices they have. I want to go back to that place soon!

Huge wait for table which was fine but then when we had eaten we were waiting for someone to take our plates away and several staff members walked past lots of times and ignored the plates. Also we ended up having dessert and still having our dirty plates on the table too. :( if it had been my first time here I wouldn't have come back

Tried here today with my husband for the first time and had a lovely experience. I had a small breakfast and a latte and my husband had pancakes with bacon and a Americano only fault really is the bacon was under cooked, it needed crisping up and would have been 10/10 as it was good quality bacon, my husband would have preferred streaky bacon with pancakes but even so was still nice again just undercooked, however couldn’t mark down for that as everything else was exceptional.Defo recommend, defo return

We have just moved to the area, I can't recommend New Penny enough. Stay clear of the big chains and come here, just a coffee and cake or something more filling. You will get table service, friendly people and great food. Spotless clean unlike the big chains- never have enough staff table alway strewn with rubbish.

Good choice of ice cream flavours, all served well with sauce, wafers and flakes 😊 good menu too, but I haven't tried that yet. Coffee was OK, a little bit bitter but some may prefer it that way.

Lovely place just had a comprehensive refit and what a good job. Very clean fresh new look. Nipped in for lunch really good food friendly polite staff and good service. 👍

Excellent steak pie with mash, really big chunks of steak, and lovely creamy mash. My friend had omelette and said it was one of the best he had ever tasted! Washed down with a very nice latte. Loses a star simply because staff forget about you! Twice now we have been seated out of view, and simply got forgotten! Maybe they should allocate certain area's to certain staff, then they could keep an eye on who's there and needs serving.

We had a breakfast, one was a bit too fancy my breakfast was lovely but no gluten free sausage in the vegetarian breakfast, gluten free toast, good selection of breakfasts, nice coffee and welcoming staff
