Shakies Chippy in Wyre

Local chippy which does exactly what it says on the tin. Affordable, decent portions and handy. Can't ask for anything more!

As soon as this food arrived we were overwhelmed by the fishy smell. Fresh fish should not smell like that. When we opened it we found the fish absolutely dripping in oil and grease, way more than you would ever expect from a battered fish. The batter was soggy and smelly and the oil had made a hole in the tray and leaked all over contents of the bag. The chips just tasted of grease and everything stinks. I will not be eating a single bite. Used to be a great chippy. Don't know what's happened. I am very disappointed.

Stopped here for fish and chips , it was lovely fresh food !Sat on the seafront and really enjoyed it with my grandson !

Excellent food , great staff , food Is always boiling , can’t fault ! Wouldn’t use anywhere else and even better the prices are brilliant !

I came in on Saturday night and ordered two fish and chip meal deals and a senior citizen’s, there was two girls working and they were the most polite and well mannered staff you could’ve asked for. Food was fresh and the fish was crispy. Wait time was minimal and I will definitely be back for sure! Thank you!

Waited over an hour for our food, phoned the shop to be told "we forgot to make it" and they're are closing, had to contact Foodhub for refund, and now had to escalate the refund to an email. Absolute Joke!

Visited tonight, there was 2 young girls working who had a positive attitude and were extremely lovely and willing. The food was delicious and tasted fresh, will definitely be back! By far the best chippy I’ve had in a long time !! :D

After hearing so many good reviews , I finally made the time to try this local chippy today and Wow im proud that this chip shop is in my local area as the food was excellent and the staff were brilliant super friendly and such quick service in a busy environment, By far one of the best chippies ive reviewed in Lancashire!This is now my new weekly chip shop!
