I wouldn't even give a star. Food was disgusting with an attitude from a. assistant manager was outrageous Ordered fish and Chips and a kids one too. Chips re cooked at least 3 times before serving mushy peas were disgusting and tasted off. Been a few times here and this is the worst its been. And service wasn't pleasant and the should be a shame of themselves

Much better than it used to be. I had a 12oz Rib eye with Parmesan truffle fries & pepper sauce. Not as good as I could make at home, but that’s not fair as I have a sous vide & make my pepper sauce over 2 days (infusing a pepper stock). Service absolutely outstanding, a few friendly faces and couldn’t fault it to be honest. Warranted a 20% tip which says it all.

We booked a table for Father’s Day on the Monday, we was asked to pre book our food. So we made our orders in the time frame given. When it came to it only 4 days later, we got there abs they didn’t have half the stuff we had ordered and told us there menu had changed lol. The food wasn’t the best. Chips tasted like they had been reheated and all the steaks were cooked wrong. Not only that the service other than one of the younger girls wasn’t very good and felt like one of the women who seemed like the manager was quite rude. Always loved this place but the prices are ridiculous, and in my opinion the food was not worth what we paid.

Called here with friends after a lovely dog walk nearby. The menu is excellent, and we were attended to by John, a new member of staff. His attitude, and service was impeccable! The food was a delight, we each had a different dish, and each one was perfectly cooked and presented. We would not hesitate to return, quite simply superb.

Lovely food and helpful waitresses. Lovely atmosphere and cosy restaurant. Just one down side was the car park was not lit up. As it was dark when we came out and there was a couple of small pot holes, no good for walking or driving on. Also for general safety if customer is alone I feel it needs lighting.

Paid ÂŁ18.50 for a roast beef Sunday lunch. Was asked if we would like the beef pink or cooked right through. We asked for pink, it came and was not only over cooked but actually tough. No one came to ask how our meal was. The meat was edible but nothing like we asked for. Informed the waitress when clearing our plates who said she would speak to the chef. Our bill came for one starter, two mains and four drinks - ÂŁ72.80!! Shocking for what I would describe as a sub standard Sunday roast. Very disappointed indeed.

First time I have been since lockdown in caravan for over a year...not disappointed at all..well organised ...friendly reception by senior and junior members of staff ...relaxed ...Good specials choice and a great menu overall...would like to try it all ! Choice not easy ..crab risotto starters lovely..not a small portion..Sunday roast great portion and no need for that downer where you have to ask for more gravy !.. Nice wainwrights ale ....no room for dessert ! Very enjoyable ...Will be back ..go on treat yourself..go local ...every village should have one so support it
