poped into this place on my way to Blackpool. was shocked to see its closed down.. only come here a year ago. loved this pub. such a shame. I think maybe due to lockdown. hope it gets taken over.

Called for lunch on Saturday with 90 yr old parents who used to frequent the Ball 40 yrs ago. It was absolutely brilliant. If you want 1970s style good pub grub this is the place The food was fabulous, great traditional pub setting and friendly staff. Lamb chops great, home made steak pudding to die for. Big bowl of hand made chips. Forget the Beefeater, Harvester and the like, this is the place to go.

Very friendly pub and dog friendly. Very comfortable arm chairs. Could do with a lick of paint and update but lovely pub food smelt good but never had time to eat😁 we will go back soon to try there food 😄

Had a lovely meal here but felt the place could do with a good clean and seemed a little run down. Have to say the lady who ran it was lovely. I think she's just over run with work. Not enough staff.

This is our local! Popped in halfway round on our Boxing Day walk. Just had a drink or two. But ran into friends from the other side of the village, great atmosphere and company. Staff were very helpful, thanks.

It was the village fete today ( coffee feast) so the pub was busy. A pleasant afternoon sat in the beer garden. Stayed for a carvery which was lovely and very reasonable (less than £20.00 for 2 carveries and 2 desserts). The pub is a bit dated but a great afternoon.

Very accommodating owners, pulled out all the stops for us on a cold days walk even though the pub was closed. Supplied us with lovely pies with chips and drinks without a fuss and chatted to us after. Will definitely be back in the spring, but will check if open first!

·

Worst meal I have ever had.that was never a carvery.the women cuts the meat then picks it up with her fingers & puts it on you plate.she then puts your vegetables on with a desert spoon more water than vegetables. The most disgusting Yorkshire pudding I have ever had the displeasure of.they were polyspolystyrene lumps.the pub is very dated. Not a place you want to waste your money onThen to add insult to injury we were overcharged

Called in whilst walking the Lancashire Coastal path. Beer (Wainwright) was off and the barman totally without personality - not a great start! However the landlady was charming and replaced the beer without question. Had a good game of darts despite there being only two available(!). Looks like it might be a very good pub in the evening and would definitely call again.

Run by local family. Good friendly staff, good food and good customer's who drink and eat in there. Great FREE function room and also do out side catering. Also good for sports as it has large tv's through out the pub. Good size beer garden and pool table / darts.
