First time visit.. Lovely food with a good choice on the menu. Staff friendly & helpful. Lovely atmosphere.. I will definitely be returning & would recommend you book as you may not get a table as very busy...

We called in today and almost didn't order food as vegetarian and vegan aren't labelled on the menus. I spoke to the landlady and she said the chef could make anything for us. He promptly popped out to see us and offered us a few choices. My daughter and I chose choose the vegetable curry. It was amazing. I am definitely happy we stayed. My dad had the roast beef dinner and it too was superb. All freshly cooked. 10/10

Lovely food and staff. Food is served in good time and is fresh & hot. It's a tad on the pricey side compared to similar eateries I've frequented but a nice evening was had by all.

Absolutely love this place. Literally every time we go we have the most beautiful food, great drinks and the staff are always so friendly. Feels like going to family for tea. We cannot recommend The Petten arms enough.

It's been a long time since I've been in a pub/ restaurant as welcoming as this one even the other guest made you feel at ease.Excellent meal. Varied menu.Very friendly one of the best places I've been in. Will be going again. We had the Sunday lunch but really was stuck for choice the menu is so good.

Heard so much about this place, I just had to go.The food was good, the place is lovely. The service was not so good.Waited over 10 mins for someone to take our order.I wanted to order drinks, but was told one of the bar staff would do so.No one came, so I went to the bar and ordered.Starter delicious, stuffed mushrooms.Mains were good, but not as fabulous as I had heard and read.No one enquired if everything was OK....like most places do.We weren't even asked at the end of the meal. I thought that unusual. Asked to see the dessert menu. Waited for 15 mins...no one came to take our order, so we asked for the bill, paid and left. The staff were young girls. They were ok, but not as welcoming or as friendly, as i expected. A bit disappointed really, after reading such rave reviews.

Love this pub. The food is fantastic and they have a great selection of beers. Make sure you book a table for food at the weekends as it can get quite busy. I had the cheese and onion pie, which was good. The starters were amazing, but unfortunately I didn't get any pictures. One member of the group wasn't too impressed with the sweet chilli crispy beef noodles off the specials menu, but I'm still giving 5 stars. Will definitely be back!

Incredible food and service. The beer garden (bowling green) was fantastic. Puddings to die for. A must visit.

Such an gem to find. The staff were very attentive and friendly and it was such a good atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious with great attention to detail. The layout is very cosy with few tables so you it was great to have a personable service. The food is of high end quality for not a high end price. I like that they use local produce in their menu and it presented very well. I would definitely recommend a visit.
