"We are a lovely pub sat in the heart of Garstang, Garstang is the first fair trade town. We have a canal and a river so walks around the village are always full of wildlife. Our pub has had a small refurbishment bringing the kitchen up to date allowing us to create a small but beautiful gourmet menu all food is cooked from fresh ingredients & most of customers say there is a little wait because of this, But the experience is well worth it. Our ales are always fresh, we stock six hand pumps with a range of beers, with Wainwrights & Hobgoblin Gold just a couple to choose from. We also stock a good range of keg beers & bottled larger, ciders & soft drinks for the children We also have disabled entrances & toilets also we are very dog friendly"

Walked in and the stares we got obviously we weren't local. Sunday roast was very bland, tasteless. Veg barely cooked and the knives could barely cut into them. Paid and left. Not really more I could say

First visit Sunday afternoon ,lovely pub with a nice vibe to it .wasn’t hungry enough for a full roast though they looked amazing coming out of the kitchen.Opted for a sandwich which was delicious and great value.will most definitely return and make sure I am hungry, not going to miss out on those roasts again.

Called in here today, driving up from Preston, and saw the sign outside saying best food here. As soon as we got in the pub we were met by the friendly owner? Who gave us menus. The pub was full with happy people eating and drinking. Got a comfy table and ordered food. Really enjoyed the food. Lots of it and delicious!! The young staff were lovely. I’ve already told my friends about this pub and will definitely go again. The fact the pub was busy says it all. Highly recommend!!

The young staff were stubborn and rude, opting to conduct themselves in a manner which disgusted me and my wife. Ruined the adequate cooked food even further. Would be a 3/4 star however the staff, again on the younger side, ruined a reputable pub restaurant I had only heard good things about! Hopefully I will go again seeing friendly young adults instead of angsty teenagers...

Called for Sunday lunch, been many times but sat outside in the sun.First time inside, was surprised how welcoming it is inside. The staff are lovely chatty & freindly. But we ordered Sunday lunch, very disappointed, as you can't realy go wrong with veg.My hubby had the beef & I ordered a lunch without meat as I'm vegetarian & love veggies.Mine arrived no vegetarian gravy, I had to smother it in salt and pepper as it was absolutely tasteless, the mash had an odd taste, just thought, what a let down not nice at all 😔

Nice little pub with tasty, reasonably priced food. The stilton mushrooms were amazing! Friendly staff and also a good selection of gins which is a winner
