Thornton Lodge in Wyre

Food was good (only good point)Service not so great, especially when not even half full.Puddings and desserts not arriving together for afters (puddings where eaten before coffees even arrived)Extra coffee was ordered and was huffed at and spoken to rudely and told that it would be taken off the bill and then wasn't (had to point this out)Had to ask several times to order food, had to ask for table to be cleared (sat at least 10 minutes with plates)What has happened to this place......

As usual staff friendly and helpful and today came across to speak to us about the change in the dinning arrangements for the bar area. We said it was nice for and to get back to some sort of normal. We always enjoy our time spent there and nice to see familiar faces 😊

Pretty good food and at a decent price too.

First-class service excellent food. A lovely smart/casual place, its decor and cleanliness stand out. well done to the team, our evening meal was a delight. We will be returning soon. Thank you all

I ordered the gammon for £10 something not the £8 something one and got the smallest gammon I've ever seen it makes me wonder how small the £8 one would of been. I know a lot of pensioners come here but I'm not a pensioner and would of liked a full size adult meal. If you look at the pic it's nearly the same size as a fried egg, very disappointed.

Similar to many pub restaurants in decor. Long waiting time as there didn't seem to be a lot of staff....but then again it wasn't busy. The staff available were pleasant. We were a party of 3 adults and 2 children under 5. Portion sizes were good as was the food. Perhaps 1 child's portion would do 2 children. My husband enjoyed his burger. Only complaint really serving and waiting time.

Had a great steak meal, staff were really friendly & welcoming. Not been here before but will definitely be back again. Well done to manager & staff.

Wow! Compare this to River Wyre.. what a difference! Great menu. Immaculately clean. Lovely attrntative staff. Fast service and coffee came with a homemade biscuits. Well kept pint. The 3 course menu looks great, didn't eat. Would definitely give it a go though!

Went in last night, the place is clean and very well decorated, the man who set us at our table was very pleasent and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The only downside was the food, we were adviced that the soup of the day was pumpkin and butternut squash however it came out as onion soup. My starter of chicken was cold but it was still tasty. The glazed veg was not glazed just steamed and the cheese cake was a hot pile of goo and mush.They were short staffed so hopefully it will improve.
