Carats Cafe Bar in Adur

Really not a great experience at all. The girl who served me was unbelievably rude, started taking my order then completely cut me off to talk to another customer, then went to take some dishes to the kitchen before serving me. Would have been so easy to just be like ‘sorry just a moment’, something like that. She also informed me that they didn’t have the ciabatta I wanted to order rather aggressively, it was unnecessary.After all this, we waited 40 mins for hairy chips. Like there was such a gross hair stuck in the cheese on my chips and stuff like that really puts me off so it was disappointing, I could barely eat any. My boyfriend’s smoothie was forgotten about, and tasted incredibly weird when he finally got it. Literally all the staff are very rude and lacking in social skills. Quite dirty. Will not be returning.

Big thanks to the lovely lady at Carat’s cafe today who helped patch up my son who'd taken a tumble. You were there with a bag of ice and a lolly to make him feel better in an instant. We also really enjoyed our ice creams and bacon sandwiches. Really tasty and super speedy!

Very lovely cafe, quite modern inside, great views just outside with the sea right on the doorstep. A beautiful walk along the sea front. Although they didn't seem to have everything on the menu, they did give us replacements and served us super quickly. The food was very tastey, the milkshake was really thick and yummy and the sandwiches we had came with thick chips. All together a very pleasant experience.

Great for kids and adults alike. Super stop off for an ice cream, coffee or tea or indeed to have a very tasty meal

Carats Cafe used to be one lovely cafe. Been going for years. Went today, freezing inside, no heating..Two breakfast and 2 chocolate came to £25. It was so tasteless..It wasn't even hot. The mushrooms looked as though been in and out of the fryer. The sausage and all the food was had no taste. The only nice thing was the Hot Chocolate! Shame..

Don't know how people can say the food here is really nice. It's not. It's OK at best. It's just low grade cafe grub. Could be a really fab cafe if they spent abit of money on it as it's in a great location. Nice place to grab some chips to have on the beach or a bottle of cider/coke.

Really good service and superb full English breakfast. They even do a roast on Sunday. I love the location too. Great spot for a walk along the seafront or easy parking if you are driving. Nicely tucked away of the beaten track and terrific views right on beach front.Well worth a visit

Was told about this bidden gem by a friend.Ordered by app at the table fish & chips with a beer £13.Beer (cider in my case)turned up nice & cold within 5 mins, then the fish & chips 5 mins later.Fish beautiful piece of fish, perfectly cooked, crispy batter that just melts in the mouthChips all i can say is THE BEST i have ever had, crispy crunchy outside, fluffy inside

Great beachside cafe, with standard fare but at a fair price, quick service & entertaining starlings too. Not much protection if it's windy but great pitstop.

Here for breakfast meet of southern classic society a good selection of cars on display. Had carats breakfast with personal choices
