Good value comfortable room (room 5) with en suite. Marvellous location close to everything in Shoreham. Nice friendly staff. Good breakfast.Pleasant pub garden, good for children. Right next the railway station, which is also handy.

We stayed for 3 nights in one of their 6 letting rooms which was very comfortable. We ate in on our first night and had a really good meal, with a decent pint of ale too. There are outside tables both in the open and under cover along with 3 internal seating areas. The owner & staff were very friendly & accomodating.

Spent a night here recently. When I arrived the staff were welcoming and I was looking forward to a couple of drinks in the evening in the bar after a tiring day. Unfortunately when I returned early evening some of the staff were helping their selves to drinks, shots, from behind the bar and soon became very loud, screaming and laughing, rolling about on the floor and running between rooms. After one drink in the very noisy bar I asked for the key to my room and a lady, who I presumed was the landlady, apologised for the noise and said it was because one of the staff were leaving. I found it all very unprofessional and it didn't encourage guests to go back again. I was shown to my room and the young lady said "Is there anything you want to ask?" to which I said no thank you. All evening I could hear the alarm from the level crossing going off about every 20 mins and was woken by it the next morning. Luckily I'd paid the night before as the door into the bar was locked. My room was huge and even had a 4 poster bed and a walk in wardrobe in it. My single bed was clean. Had better for the price of £60 single occupancy. No breakfast included. Won't be returning, sorry.

Nice place. Reasonable ale selection. Popped in to see a band but I'd got my dates wrong and it was almost completely empty! Staff were v. friendly.

Totally yum Sunday lunch today ...for me, my boys had fish n chips and a burger respectively, all beautifully cooked with fresh veg. Portions are not huge (just to say, but fine for us). If you want smaller well cooked meals this is spot on

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at The Crabtree. Staff were friendly, accommodating and nice to chat to. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. A relaxed and welcoming environment with everything you need and a great location. Will definitely book again
