Visited on evening of 16/06/22 for the two-for-one pizza deal. Our server Debbie was fantastic. Very quick to take our drink order and very friendly and attentive throughout our visit. It always lovely to be served by a genuinely friendly person :-).Any the food! Wow! My partner had the carvery calzone. Packed full of meat and the lovely fresh pizza dough smothered in garlic butter. The Yorkshire and little jug of gravy it came with were a nice touch.I had a stuffed crust veggie supreme pizza. It was amazing! The stuffed crust, exceptionally delicious. Generous amount of veg on it too, loads of sweetcorn that I love on pizzas. You can easily tell the are fresh and handmade and I love they fact they are not a perfect circular shape.We are eating there quite a lot at the moment whilst our kitchen is out of order. Always great food and fantastic value.

We had a nice family table by the widow. The service was excellent from a cheerful waitress. The larger portion carvery meal was excellent and very filling. For a family meal of four adults and a child I was pleasantly surprised with the bill.

Very good experience. After about 5 years of not coming here because it was previously so poor, we were pleasantly surprised that things had improved so much. Great service and food. I could not fault anything.

Having visited twice in the past month, we have found the food enjoyable. Debbie has served us on both occasions and it is always a pleasure to be greeted with her smiling face. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Debbie who is always quick to clear away your finished plates so you do not have to sit staring at them. All staff are courteous and helpful. Will be back real soon.

We visited today for a Sunday carvery. Staff are so friendly and food was delicious, hot and fresh. We had the Pork and Beef and both were so tender. Good selection of veg ,lovely yorkshires and gravy. The restaurant had a very short power cut which staff dealt with professionally. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again soon.

Avoid at all costs , table booked for 7 , receptionist just pointed to our table and carried on with doing nothing apart from trying to make herself look useful , waiter came over about 10 minutes later and asked if we had a reservation then wanderedoff again , ended up walking out and going to Toby Carvery , probably not a bad call because what we could see of the food it didn't look very appetising. No wonder it was quite empty there

I had the fish &chips. Fish hardly had any fish on it & chips weren't cooked properly as we're hard. Female toilets only one toilet working, with 2 broken and one locked. Carvery vegetables hard and had no flavour. Not happy at all

Came to Royal George with the family one evening for dinner. Great menu selection. We all had different things Carvery, fish and chips and calzone - food was great, came out quickly and service was great too. Becky made us feel very welcome and Lauren and Emily was very helpful too.

Had a lovely meal with my husband and mum in law. Being a vegan, I had beyond burger and wedges, husband had a carvery, was both lovely! I also had the apple pie and vegan Custard, gorgeous 😍Rolled out an hour or so later 🤣.Great service, everything was clean. Service was by Sue, lovely lady very friendly 😀

Second time I have been in two weeks. Same waitress both times. She is lovely, with a fantastic memory. No problems remembering 5 different drinks and meals. Always a smile and she recognised me again and said welcome back. Service great and food on both occasions very good.
