We have recently celebrated Mother’s Day and a family birthday at the hotel restaurant. On both occasions we had excellent food and service. The staff are so friendly and helpful they made us feel very welcome. We will be returning very soon.

Many thanks to Dee ( manager ) and her excellent team . The customer service is second to none. When we arrived we were greeted by the most welcoming and charming Jacob who showed us to our room.We have to say we were disappointed with the room so my wife went and saw Jacob and within minutes we were moved to the most lovely room with a four poster bed.The evening meal was one of the best we've ever had, it was perfection.Table service was second to none...faultless.After a wonderful nights sleep we had the breakfast which was included in the price and worth every penny. We are definitely going to return and would recommend to all.

We loved our short stay here and will be heading back asap. Great room, breakfast was lovely and made good use of the pool and sauna. Staff were excellent too - very friendly.

Attentive team of restaurant staff. The service was backed up by good food and a relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately our visit this time was spoilt by a large loud party gathering for an afternoon sitting. The staff tried to move the party guests into their dining area but with little help from the guests. Otherwise a good lunch

Attended as a family group celebrating a birthday. The restaurant was light, pretty and comfortable and the Manor has kept its country character. The staff were friendly and highly professional and top marks also to the chef and his team for our lovely meals. Overall a big thank you to the restaurant team for their hospitality.

I cant give this anything but a 5 star.We booked this stay as a late booking after our cruise was cancelled the morning we were going. Wanting to doing something special we found this place, check the reviews and booked. The welcome was great and our bags were taken to our room whilst we were about to relax in the bar with a few drinks. The room (212) was beautiful. Lovely furniture, well maintained room and extremely clean. The bed was very comfy and there's plenty of furniture to put clothes away. Great size TV with loads of channels. The bathroom also is well equipped with a huge double shower and stand alone bath. If I had to mentioned anything, which is so minor, would be the cheap toilet roll which was thin !We used the spa, swimming pool and had a massage which was amazing. We were also booked in for dinner and breakfast with both meals being fantastic. The staff couldn't do enough for us and we felt quite special. Thankyou very much to all the staff and the chef for an amazing dinner. 👏

Table for four for dinner on a Saturday night. Total bill ÂŁ280. It was a bit of a rollercoaster ride. Great welcome. Wife and I arrived earlier than our two guests so a Bramble cocktail and spicy Bloody Mary for me please. Several minutes later told me no tomato juice so Bloody Mary out of the question. Said nicely, fully apologetic, however, not good enough. Very small bar area overrun with a birthday party dinner. Forced to listen to their inane chitter chatter. Guests arrived, cider and G&T's all round, doubles served, not asked for, would I mind?? Not wishing to cause a scene I obliged. Lad who took food order, positive, professional, humourous and knowledgeable. My chicken livers served on a very cold plate. Main courses good especially Beef Wellingtons. Side vegetables tasty. Sweets good especially crumble. Restaurant dark, turned my phone torch on to see what the food presentation looked like. Presentation was good. Overall I feel this place isn't far off bring exceptional but enthusiastic staff is not a substitute for professional staff. With the exception of the order taker it all seemed a bit frenetic, very willing but slightly off centre. My guests weren't paying so they loved it but their standards aren't as particular as mine are, so I'd rate 4/5* and to get that to a 5/5* at least have tomato juice, don't completely forget our third round of drinks and have to reminded, hot food on hot plates please and to be constantly asked by the waiting staff, "who's the chicken liver, who's the pate, who's the beef Wellington.....and so on, is a bit wearing. As I say, some work to do before 5/5* but not unachievable. Yes I would go back. Tony Perrin.

I almost never leave reviews but on this occasion I was so disappointed with our experience that I decided to. The majority of our food was ok they’re charging prices for high calibre food and I would say the standard was fairly mediocre for a restaurant. There is only 1 veggie main on the menu, the rest is all fish and meat. I couldn’t eat the veggie so opted for prawns (the only seafood I can eat) and that was already sold out at 7.30pm. I was offered a tagine with no detail on flavours etc. As we were out for a family Christmas meal I opted to go for that to avoid a fuss- it was very spicy, even with the extra yoghurt I asked for and I ate about a quarter before I could take the spicy anymore. The rest of the meal was ok but service was VERY slow. 45 minutes between our starter and main. It was nice not to be rushed but felt the staff could’ve been more attentive. The young new waiter was excellent and very polite. The slightly older dark hair waiter was snooty and rude. The manager was unpleasant and gave us the feeling I was being awkward for being vegetarian. At the end of the meal I asked for the tagine to be removed and was told by the dark haired waiter that he wouldn’t as i had eaten over half. His attitude was hostile and difficult. When he eventually removed the tagine and we paid he walked off shaking his head. We’ve previously been to Angmering Manor many times, my father got married there so for him it has sentimental value. It was disappointing to find that not only has it changed hands but it really is no longer the nice country hotel and restaurant it used to be. It was an unduly expensive and disappointing experience and we won’t be going back.
