Basmati in Arun

We went to Basmati tonight as a family and it was simply delicious. Our server was attentive and polite with great product knowledge, offering suggestions of what we could try based on our described taste preferences. The food was incredible! Absolutely delicious and flavoursome and the portion size was generous. We tried an array of dishes varying in heat and taste and every one was outstanding. We will definitely be returning, thank you very much Basmati!

Really really enjoyed our meal here, haven't been out for Indian food in ages and this hit the spot!! Absolutely amazing food, was delicious! We had fabulous service, our waiter was super friendly and had great banter. 100% will be my new go to😁

We went here a week ago after friends told us about it and it was a fantastic night the food was amazing and the service was great it has a very welcoming atmosphere and the staff are friendly and helpful but not overbearing we will definitely be going back, and I get the feeling that the 1star review that was given by the 🔔 end Alex Welsh they were a bunch of 🔔 ends that wouldn’t stop cursing and just being vile so a couple of tables complained to the waiter and he asked them politely to ease up to which they were so rude to him the waiter was a lovely bloke and he is quite a big lad so more than likely would batter them but was very professional with it all and took it in his stride so that 1 ⭐️ Means nothing and I don’t do reviews but had to stop this injustice.

Moved into the area a few months ago. Had multiple takeaway and dine in meals, all excellent. Very friendly service and great food.

Ordered online. Took 2hrs. After an hour I called and they said it’s delayed because the delivery driver broke his foot. When it came the driver said that was a lie they are busy. Missing chips. Food cold. Phoned and complained and they said it will take an extra 20 min and asked what we want free. I said a bottle of wine and he replied “no I’m not doing that it’s not healthy”. Then he went on to say sorry the chef forgot the chips what do you want me to do about it!Never ordering again from there next time I’ll stick to the Barnham Tandori. At least they don’t lie and their food comes in hot!

I ordered a tandoori butter chicken and pilau rice. The chicken was cooked really well, very tender and smokey. Sauce and rice were also very delicious. All food came fresh and sizzling.

Friendly staff but food was very ordinary. Ordered king prawn vindaloo but they don’t use large butterflied prawns instead they use prawns like you’d get at the supermarket, however the vindaloo sauce was tasty so a big thumbs up for that. Ease up on the potatoes though, way too many for a dish like this. Mushroom rice was far too salty but again tasty. Nan bread was delicious. I was over charged from what the online price was but only by a pound or so. Probably old prices online or maybe there was a delivery charge. Delivery was fast.
