Butlin's Traditional Fish & Chip Restaurant in Arun

Batter was wet and tasteless. Portion sizes were very small and everything tasted unsalted. Fortunately, we had salt in our apartment. Only positive would be the curry sauce.

Only just comparable to oven chips. 2 grim sausages for £3.35 is unfair. Nice fish.

DO NOT RECCOMEND! Worst portions of chips in the United Kingdom! Large came out like a small, asked for salt and vinegar and tasted a bit of salt on about 4 of my chips, not worth the money at all should have just bought a sandwich from the shop opposite

Don’t waste your time or money. We waited nearly and hour to be served in a half empty restaurant. The food arrived cold, the mash potatoes were so hard I had to ask them to charge it for chips and the fish had no flavour at all. The worst part of it all is this wasn’t an isolated incident. Everyone seated in our area waited just as long, and all complained about the quality of the food. Please stay away

I have been staying this week, and currently still here. The food was very slow at coming out, very bland and even when waiting for plates to be taken away considering only 4 other tables were being used so hardly busy.Ordered my daughter a brownie part of the childs meal deal and to find the reason she couldn't eat it was it was rock solid so couldn't even cut through it.Called over staff member and was not even sorry about it, i showed her and she acted all shocked. She was shown and I mentioned could of broke my daughters teeth, all she could say is do you want a ice lolly in return. No discount nothing offered. Utterly disgusting and not happy with how it was doubt with.My daughter is speech delayed so not like she could tell me her brownie was hard, they put ice cream on top to cover this issue up.

You might be thinking that The reviews are people being bitter and people that complain about everything they set they’re eyes on. This is what thought we thought the reviews where a bunch of rubbish little did we know they were trying to save us a family of 6 spending £80 on Fish and Chips the same food I could get down the road in London for half the price which would taste better than this hyped up mess. The batter oily when we picked it up to test the batter the oil dripped down covering my hand and had to go to the toilet to wash them, The chips cold saved by the Tartare Sauce which was the nicest thing on the plate! And for me a bit of Curry Sauce also stone cold. I knew due to COVID it’s hard for quick service but we waited 30 mins for greasy and cold food, we saw a family instead of waiting they bought a Burger King from the Pavilion and ate in the chippy! So If you read this please don’t waste your money on greasy and cold food which takes ages to arrive especially for impatient children. DON’T BUY IF YOU WANT FISH AND CHIPS WALK UP THE SEAFRONT!

Awesome experience with the family. So easy to order via the app. Food came nice and quick and was very tasty. Fair price and would come back for sure. Thanks for a great experience.

Where do I start? From basic of chips is worse I seen and tasted, think they use the cheapest potatoes they can find. They don't use good oil as you can see it from how it leaves bad after taste. Wife went in and requested for fresh chips, made her wait for 10 min only to give her old chips that was in the box, when I went back they tried to fry old chips but I stopped them and asked for fresh ones which they was not happy about. Poor customer service, poor value for money. Lot more to say but I would not want to waste more time and I suggest you go out for drive and get proper fish and chips shop.

At Butlins there is both the restaurant and takeaway next to each other. Staff are nice and friendly but in all honesty it is a tad on the expensive side, albeit probably one of the cheaper places if staying onsite to eat. At time of posting you could get a regular cod and chips for £9.95 at the restaurant or £7.95 takeaway. Food is nice, not the best we have ever had but certainly wouldn't put me off going if feeling a bit lazy and dont wanna chip off site to get something.

Clean, and excellent customer service. One of the best fish and chips I've ever had, freshly cooked and perfectly made.Although costly it's not the most expensive I've seen and the child's menu meal deal is very reasonable.We are very happy we choose to dine here on our first night
