Had a really delicious roast dinner here whilst we were away. Michelle behind the carvery counter was such a lovely and welcoming lady - very helpful and her roast potatoes are absolutely to die for! The food was very nice and we were surprised that our bill wasn't a lot higher for the quality of the food. The lady serving our drinks was very friendly - she was new and wasn't sure on what cocktails were served or what they contained but she spent the time to go and find out for us. After a little more training she will be doing an even more fantastic job than she is ready :) thank you again to all at The Charley Purley for giving us a fantastic experience.

First time I have used this pub and will certainly be back. Myself, my partner and 2 children had carvery which was delicious. My mum had hunters chicken which was also very nice she said. Rosie and Grace that looked after us at the table were very helpful and Michelle the carvery chef was also brilliant. Will certainly be back and recommend to friends and family. Thank you. My only small criticism, and its personal taste is the gravy was a little thin for me, prefer thicker gravy

We arrived just as they were stopping food so to be quite honest not expecting much but pleasantly surprised! The carvery chef Michelle was lovely and helped us choose and made sure we were enjoying our meals throughout! Well done Michelle keep up the good work x

We came for my partners 30th birthday and we had an amazing evening. The staff couldn’t do more for us. Daniella looked after us and was brilliant all the way through. The food was great and was really good value. The whole team including the kitchen staff came out to sing happy birthday which was a great touch. We will definitely return. I highly recommend this venue for any occasion.

Greeted warmly. Our table wasn't ready yet as we were a little early but the person was helpful and not at all annoyed. They advised getting a drink, putting on our tab at our soon to be table, and then told us where to wait. Our table was available very quickly. The next person was jolly, polite and helpful. The bar person was friendly and patient, as I didn't know what drink I wanted. Also the server at the carvery was friendly and polite. They all seemed to care about our experience. We had a very easy non stressful lunch.

Lovely place. Warm and inviting. Staff were very attentive.I liked that once we were shown to a table we were asked if it was OK for us and given the opportunity to select another. This was very helpful as having a child with special needs we need a quieter space.Food couldn't be faulted, nice selection and very tasty.Only thing that could have been better would be a selection of condiments... cranberry sauce ect.

Had a really lovely carvery we booked a table but it didn't go through in the system the manager made sure we could get a table where we wanted. our waiter was an absolute diamond rushed off his feet but still made sure how our meal was. And Michelle the carvery chef gave outstanding service. All staff deserve a pint after todays shift they don't get enough appreciation which they deserve being the fact Sunday's are their busiest day some customers need to bear that in mind

My husband and I have just come back from an impromptu Valentine's 'tea' out and it was fab!! We honestly love eating out here as we feel so comfortable and welcomed. The service is always delivered with a smile and everyone is very accommodating to our needs. The food is hot and very tasty and the cost is reasonable.....give it a try!!Thank you Daniella and team!

Very good experience all round.Staff attentive and friendly, served quickly and food very tasty.Fancied a carvery even though it was sat evening, good choice .Clean and tidy everywhere and adherence to corvid regs in action.Masks optional, staff do not wear them.but that's the UK rules.So overall very good food , tasty and value for money.Would return againSorry about the massive amount of veg on my plate but they were very good.
