Lured here by the promise of a delicious fish sandwich and was not disappointed! Delicious fish, thick fresh bread and beautifully cooked chips. We'd booked a table and were pleased we had as the place was full. Staff were very friendly. Lemon Posset was also delicious! Will be back!

An amazing building, first of all. Secondly the views from the inside are of sea. Thirdly the quality of the food is excellent. Not a budget café, but a quality place to eat. Good service too. Book ahead as very busy, and you can see why. The Longest Bench is just nearby on the prom, which is also worth a look at.

Lovely evening at the East Beach Cafe last night. 4 course dinner with matched wines and wonderful lady harpist. Looking forward to more special nights. Thank you.

·

Friendly service, excellent food, reasonable prices ...an ideal place to eat after a brisk walk on the seafront. An unbeatable position.

·

Extraordinary beach cafe that looks incredible from the outside. The food and service was just as good, as well as being beautifully cooked.

Iv wanted to visit this place for so long and drove 220 miles to do so and was woefully disappointed with the food. The lack of information on the menu meant that I ordered undesirable food that I picked through rather than enjoy a satisfying meal.

Have passed this place some years ago and was aware of its reputation so visited today. Was not disappointed! Delicious food (especially the fish, pea puree and tartare sauce sandwich), great service and lovely ambience. Will definitely return to try the rest of the menu.

Great food - the seafood linguine & beer battered fish & chips are excellent. The staff are very friendly & accomodating. Looks a bit 'low rent' from the beach side & the interior is very plain, but the rear of the building is an architectural wonder that has been used in a lot of art house type marketing & advertising - it's worth a visit just to look at.

Great place for lunch by the sea. Very friendly service. Great to see local beers and ales for sale. Worth a visit.
