A hidden gem, unexpected from the outside, but a great tradition pub, with good pub food.

My favourite pub in this area and surroundings. Great local beers (Goldmark) beautiful historic building, beautiful garden, I love that garden, "greenhouse" area that it's great for when is a bit cold or too windy. All comfortable!!Staff are super friendly and lovely, I always felt comfortable and welcome. Great place 100% recommend it.Best wishes to all, from the spanish guy.

Great local, village pub. A very good menu with freshly prepared dishes. Great beers. Good outdoor garden when the weather suits.

Found this pub while staying at Butlins and wanted a nice meal for a change, glad we chose the George Inn instead of others in the area. Very welcoming and the food was lovely, nothing was too much trouble. Made the late night drive back to Birmingham better with full stomachs! We would 100% go back when in the area again.

A nice little pub very quiet when we play Saturday night bar staff she looked a bit fed up

Invited by friends to a Comedy Night there, which was a big disappointment with only two of the acts being remotely funny. We sat on uncomfortable wooden chairs crammed into a small dated upstairs room. The pub itself was hard to judge as it was small, overcrowded and very noisy with people waiting to go upstairs for the comedy thing. The three stars reflect our experience on this one night which is not typical of the pub I think. The staff were very pleasant. There was a food menu which I couldn't get close enough to see and a car park for about 18 cars. The ladies was newly tiled and painted and very clean but only one loo.

Standard pub fayre. Weekday lunchtime. Friendly service, nice gammon. Dog friendly in the bar at least.

Lovely little traditional pub. We held a wake here and the staff were brilliant. They did an amazing buffet with the best homemade quiche

What a great find. Staying at butlins & fed up of bad food. Decided to wonder out on the hunt for a decent meal & the George didn't disappoint. The carvery was as good as home cooked, really friendly & welcoming staff. 5*.
