Pizza Express - Arundel in Arun

After our visit to Arundel castle we went for a quick snack to this restaurant.Ordered Garlic bread, latte and Chocolate fudge cake. Chocolate fudge cake was super delicious 😋 The quantity of the garlic bread was very less and I feel it’s overpriced for the quantity. However the taste was good and it was super soft and cheesy.

Service was good, starters were lovely. My pasta dish was burnt... each mouthful burnt crispy pasta!!! They took it off the bill, but as we were there celebrating my birthday, took the edge off the evening sadly. Pollo pesto used to be my favourite dish but it just didn't taste right. But the pizza's looked good, will go with one of them next time.

Absolutely useless, right order on the ticket but wrong pizza's in the boxes how hard can it be?

My partner and I thought we would go to one of our favourite restaurants for dinner tonight we have been to serval Pizza Express’s before but never to the one in Arundel. As we arrived at the door we got turned away as they said they was very ‘busy’ and short staffed so could not take walk ins only bookings online, we thought that was okay we will book online and wait. As we arrived back at the time of our booking it took someone 5 minutes to come over to the door so we could seated then our waiter said ‘food will be around 45 minutes are you sure you want to wait that long’ making us feel unwanted for the 2nd time, we was fine with waiting so she seated us with no smile and a terrible attitude. We ordered food and it came within 10 -15 of minutes after ordering (after her comment earlier saying ‘45 minutes’) throughout our time there all we felt was unwanted we did not receive a smile from 1 member of staff nor checking in how our food was. All the waitresses attitude showed they did not want us there or want to be there themselves. I do not have 1 positive thing to say about experience tonight!!

Thought we'd skip the local kebab pizza places and greasy Dominos FOR TAKEAWAY and decided that Pizza Express would be the best punt locally.Don't waste your money or time; the Halloumi Bites (not sure they were Halloumi cheese) potions sizes were measly, along with the Sloppy Vegan and Classic Vegan Giardiniera (on original bases), which also lacked toppings and flavour! Also they came both cold and the edges singed! And as for the original bases, they might as well been made out of recycled cardboard!Save your money, go and get a frozen pizza instead or at least support a local takeaway, however dire.

Mediocre pizza, poor service. Staff were nice enough, restaurant was quiet only about 4 tables including ours and about 6 waiting staff. Ordered 5 pizzas, 4 came up, member of staff delivering them to the table had no idea which ones were dairy free and which weren’t, asked him to check as we have allergies he never came back! So had to go and ask someone to check whilst the food got cold. 1 missing pizza completely from the order then took another 15 minutes to come, 1 of the ones which came was wrong completely & had to go back, the other 2 I asked if they did Cajun chicken she said yes they came with plain chicken she then says oh we don’t have any Cajun at the moment 🤦🏼‍♀️

I have been going to the Arundel branch of PE for 10+ years, it's usually a family favourite. This month we had booked a table of 10 to go for celebrations, after waiting 15 minutes to order drinks we then had to wait another 45 minutes for the drinks to arrive after asking the waitress if our drinks were coming. That's 1 hour after sitting down to receive a drink.There was 3 tables in the whole restaurant and a large table upstairs with 5 waiters floating around talking and shuffling around at a snails pace so there really is no excuse. One of the waitresses looked like she was born on a different planet or had smoked something that was grown on a different planet.As someone who has worked in hospitality I am appalled. They had two staff doing the desserts for the upstairs table, one boy was standing by the other waitress just chatting and waiting for her to finish serving up desserts & then carrying the desserts up 2 at a time spaced out by about 4 minutes for each trip, I can onlyhow frustrated the table upstairs must have been feeling.We decided not to stay for food paid for our drinks and left. This would have easily been a £300+ bill but we went elsewhere. We will be lodging a formal direct complaint with Pizza Express and won't be returning until the staff situation has been changed, it's a massive shame to see what's happened to pizza express Arundel there was zero leadership, professionalism or care.Avoid until they fix this

We booked a table online but this was given to someone else so we were given a table in an empty room upstairs by the toilets with no atmosphere and away from the main restaurant. They didn't apologise or check if that was acceptable with us. They didn't have any pasta available when we ordered. Our food arrived at separate times so we couldn't eat together or our food would of been cold. I would not recommend going here.

Been here before, quick and friendly service. Family, kid friendly too. Good food, reasonable price, get the pizza express app and build up your pizza slices in order to start receiving great offers!!

This was the best authentic pizza I've ever had. You can tell this is straight from Italy ! The freshness was unmatched and I've never had anything like it . The pesto was absolutely delicious and the flavours were so strongThey were so kind enough to bring me a free dessert for my birthday , and personally sing me happy birthday. It was the nicest experience I've had at a restaurant and the staff were so friendly! Thank you I'll definitley come back
