Not impressed at all. The food was not very good. Cold and dry. My dish was missing in my eyes a key ingrediant. I understand that they are short staffed and not the waiters fault. Sorry to report a not very good meal. We did get a drink deducted from the bill which we accepted with good grace.

We were the first to arrive for lunch and were shown a very nice table. So far, so good. We were then shown a menu which was printed in very small print. Our first choice wasn't available. The kitchen is out, we were told. Our second choice wasn't available. Our helpful waiter explained that they had been very busy over the weekend and the kitchen had run out. At the third attempt we discovered something they had available. Some time later it arrived on cold plates. The stems of the broccoli spears were so hard it was very difficult to cut them. When I mentioned this to the staff I was told that these are Al dente and they don't serve soft broccoli any more. Mine were so hard they were plainly uncooked. I then tackled the generous portion of cod. This was rubbery and, again, plainly undercooked, as was the salmon though this was not so noticeable. This is the first meal I have had at The Robin Hood and I was most dissappointed. I am unlikely to return.

Superb food and friendly staff, easy to park, nice ambience and a lotta of food to the plate too..

Went for the Burns Night menu. Delicious food that was well worth the set menu price. There were 8 of us and our courses all arrived at the same time even though we were ordering from different menus. Our waitress was very attentive in seeing to our different needs. We had previously visited the Robin Hood regularly before covid and it was so good to go back. A home from home pub.

Food excellent, staff didn't stop all friendly. Great atmosphere.

A lovely clean pub. Staff so friendly and the food was delicious. The main course was so big I took half home. First visit but won't be the last. Even the general manager cleaned the tables. They all help each other. Talking to our waitress and waiter the morale is for all to see how they talk about the place.

This is a great place to have a nice meal with family/friends. All the staff are lovely and very welcoming. I would've given 5 stars but I didn't enjoy my main course as much as I'd of liked, the meat was a bit on the fatty side in my beef bourguignon but my starter was delicious and dessert was to die for. Think I maybe just got bit unlucky with my meat that time but will definitely be returning.

We were staying in the premier inn next door and decided to have dinner here . The lady who took us to our table and took orders was friendly and helpful. As for the food AVOID we both ordered 8 ounce rump steak and to be truthful mine was overcooked I ordered it medium rare and got a well done piece of boot leather and my partner ordered medium well and go a cremated one I did complain and the lady was happy to refund us on the total bill. The next morning we when down for breakfast to be told by the lady manager breakfast finishes at 9am but we could go though. I was told that what was out was all that was left. The way she spoke to me was Unprofessional rude and unacceptable and she has no Manners and Her tone was angry and could not care about the customers . She needs to be put on a customer service course to learn how to talk to customers with respect . We walk out having no breakfast, And had to walk 0.5 mile down rd for breakfast .

Staying for business purposes, but kitchen here is absolutely somewhere else than most of the places nearby that I stayed recently. Not just burgers and steaks or lasagne and pizzas.Instead having pan fried duck breasts, or lovely pork belly, yumm ;-).I can be very critical about the food but here it was exeptionaly good. Thank you chefs!Who fancy traditional cousine , I highly recommend to pop in . Happy and smily waiting staff will make you welcome and will make sure that everything is to your likes.

Great restaurant/pub. Not expensive, good food and, for me, good wine 😉 I ate yesterday with my friend, a rump steak and hunters chicken. Tasty 😀. It was not my first time, and not last, that I'm sure. Very nice and helpful crew.
