Tandoori Gate in Arun

We dined-in (the Wife, Grandson and I) early Thursday evening. We were the only one's there so full-on attention. Curries, bhajis, mixed grill, rice and poppadoms... Good quality and tasty - all washed down with drinks.The look of the restaurant is tired/dated but the food was good. If we return to the area for another break then we would return.

I’ve used this restaurant/takeaway for many years so I thought it was about time I left a review. This is my go to place for a curry, and no matter what meal we order, it is always excellent.

Wow! This doesn't deserve 1 star! Couldn't get our order right and when I called, he told me he had enough and told me to write to the papers then put the phone down!! No customer service, shouldn't be allowed to deal with the public. We usually use cardomon Bay but with the current crisis isn't open yet so decided to give here a go and what a mistake it was!!

I popped in here on the off chance I may get a decent "Indian" as I am fed up with overpriced food with sauces from a jar etc.The starters were nice,Onion Bhaji freshly cooked *NOT* precooked and then reheated and very tasty as was the chicken Pakora in a light batter.The Chicken Kalia and Chicken Bombay were nicely presented and tasted really good as was the Coconut rice,I know I am now being fussy but the Garlic Nan I would have preferred thinner .Overall it was a nice meal and good service so I will go back

Not a good place had take away delivered last night. And ive never felt so bad in my life. Really bad stomach. They promise to drop of take away menu but never did. Would not recommend this place at all.

Comfy and discret Indian Restaurant. Village setting and quite easy to park. Food coming out of the kitchen looked lovely and smelt lovely too. Smiling staff.

This is a very good restaurant the staff go the extra mile to make your visit special making you feel like you are there only customer . The food and cost is so much value for money. Highly recommended

We ordered the tandoori deluxe for two via Just Eat. This did not arrive when I ordered and when I called the restaurant they claimed this is not what they provide despite this being what is advertised and so what I paid for. No apology for their faulty description, no goodwill gesture. This deal is not the value it seems and very annoying when you are expecting certain food and do not get it and so have to make do with your dining companions choices. I have a screen shot of the listing on just eat. Very very annoyed.

Great food, great service and great takeaway deals to be had! Ordered for collection via just eat, food was excellent with very generous portions and the staff could not be more polite or welcoming. Definitely worth a visit, would undoubtedly visit again for takeaway or sit in.
