The Beachcomber Inn in Arun

Salmon was horribly overcooked, vegetables were hard. Cheesecake lacked flavour and didn't come with strawberries as advertised. When queried, we were given a half hearted apology about having run out of strawberries. You also have to order at the bar as opposed to having your order taken at the table. The whole evening was lack lustre and really detracts from the "Butlins Experience".Truly disappointing.EDIT:-I just read through a few of the other recent reviews and would also echo the fact that no one bothered to clear our dishes and left them to pile up for our party of 7. When dessert came, there was no space to place the plates, at which point the waitress ASKED "Should I take away some plates?"... :|If anyone at Butlins reads this, please, this is a very poor look for you. Changes desperately need to be made.

Only serving staff deserve some praise here as they offer friendly service but you need new chefs that can tell time .. you don't serve adults meals without the childs coming with it. Food was overcooked, and rubbery where it was sitting under hotlamps while waiting for the whole meal to be finished. Cannot recommend.

Worst food I have ever ate. Cold food then I asked for it to be heated up and got told to heat it up myself in the self service microwave. This butlins has the worst food and the worst service I have ever come across.

Quite how this place has such a high rating is beyond me. Charging pub prices with no table service and sending food out that is cremated/been sat on the side under heat lamps for 3 hours. And serving a kids menu with no childs cutlery available? Not a memorable experience. Wont be going back

Absolute day light robbery, charging high prices for zapped food. I had a Naan bread with my curry that was inedible but would have made a good spade for my daughters to use on the beach. They didn’t have the first two drinks I wanted, and they forgot to serve the drink I ordered with my child’s menu. I would be very very surprised if they had any repeat custom. Stay away.

Food was very average. Mixed grill over cooked and dry. Curry was tasty but rice was undercooked. Service was reasonably prompt but that was all.

This place looks lovely but they lack any type of customer service. Sat down and ordered from the app, food came out and looked like it had been pinged in the microwave. Cold on the outside and boiling in the middle. We ate most of our food and then about 4 different members of staff walked past our empty plates. Normally anywhere else they would be cleared. After waiting for about 10 minutes for my son's ice cream we just left and I told a member of staff not to worry about it.In future we'll stick to burger King

Wanted the sharing platter, they didn't have one of the items on the platter, however this isn't a problem as I would have it without unfortunately they can't do it if one item is missing, absolutely ridiculous as they had everything else,

With restrictions in place its not too busy unless you stick to your 5pm dinner routine. Breakfast is OK but the steak is rubbish. Sorry. All in all good service.

Our first restaurant as we started our short break. The food is good, but a big pity on the cleanliness of the place. The place really needs a deep clean. The carpets were so dirty and stained. Apart from that the tables and the food made up for the downfall. That is why I rated it 4 stars.
